This is the kind of marketing I can get into :)

All existing products updated with two macro knobs!

All existing products are also stripped of preexisting parameter automation, new automation targets are limited to the two macro knobs and a modwheel if the emulated synth had one. :(

Macro knobs can not be assigned to filter cutoffs or pulse width

Preset browser "streamlined" - now you simply click the preset name to advance to the next alphabetical preset. There is no other way of selecting presets. :bang:

Double-clicking preset name resets to default preset, which is called "Clipping Poorly-Panned Goat Fart" and is somehow even worse than the name implies. :x

Finally, all existing products are now a "monthly" subscription service that can only be paid in two-year increments

I would wonder what the point is though. It's not a classic synth, by any standards.

I still hope for a OB-8 or OB-X.

I've always been intrigued by the Evolver line, would be more interesting than the usual suspects

I really don't see them doing something digital, but who knows. They also tend to go for iconic although some of the stuff in the String Machine is hardly iconic, niche though.

I’ll tell you this: if it’s an M-Tron expansion, I’m gonna be peeved. :P

If it’s an M-Tron update with a proper Optigan sync’d loop mode, and expansion library with all the discs, I’d be less peeved.

But in all seriousness, I’m sure most of us think it will be an analog. I’m hoping CS-80. Would be bummed if it’s a a Jupiter-8 after the excellent TAL version and recent Arturia update. A full blown Oberheim 8-Voice would be cool. A Jupiter-6 or 4 would also be welcome but seem unlikely from G-Force IMO. MemoryMoog would be interesting as would any of the other polysynths that are more off the beaten path.

that would be a new expansion, not a new instrument

I picked up the UVI PX Memories library recently, a version of the LAMM MemoryMoog and even with the sample-based limitations there was enough to suggest it would make a killer hardware emulation. I have the older IK Syntronik version too, but that's even less flexible.

The emoji should've been a clue that I as joking. Or a few sentences later when I said, "in all seriousness" then transitioned to talking about new instruments. I think it's well established that G-Force is working on two new instruments that aren't a v2 of something, with one being close to completion. So just to be entirely clear: I really don't think it's going to be another M-Tron expansion. C'mon CS-80...
