Someone has now done a sea shanty of the Handforth parish council ruckus, for anyone who hasn't seen it already or know what it is about I'll keep it short. It is what happens when a group of parish councilors in England get together in a zoom meeting to discuss parish council issues. The video went viral because as you will see these grown ups are acting like children and getting very irate,It is really quite amusing. The sea shanty of this is the video posted below the video of the zoom meeting.

A nice article and interview here about The Sheringham Shantymen, who are a Norfolk-based group founded in 1988 which has played gigs all over the world (but has been singing together virtually during the Covid-19 pandemic).
They are understandably delighted that sea shanties have taken off and gained worldwide attention during recent months.
It's a very short article on the BBC webpage but I hope that there is a longer interview hopefully available on digital radio / internet somewhere now or in the near future?

I obviously have no fisherman gene, because i don't enjoy the sea shanties. Are these singers of sea shanties from a coastal place? I supposed fishermen are more prevalent at coastal places. I did enjoy pirate Lego when i was a kid tho.
