Virgo is the new collection of 128 presets for the great Roland Jupiter 8 emulation J-8 by Togu Audio Line.

Virgo is about analogue synth nostalgia, the 80s soundtracks; sounds designed for dreamy, emotive and suspenseful music projects and soundtracks.

Virgo Demos

Inspired by the soundtracks from Summer 84, Norskov and Stranger Things, and the music from Boards of Canada, Solar Fields and John Carpenter.

The sound of Virgo is haunting, dystopic, tense and warm; reminding things like vast icelandic landscapes, the far away unknown galaxies, a cold and smokey town from Russia during the winter or the investigations behind a series of strange crimes in a small town.

Formed by lush leads and pads, dynamic sequences and arps, wonderful keys, tense cinematic bass loops, dystopian soundscapes, broken & faulty synths. In addition a lot of presets have been designed by using the two layer option of J-8 which is quite useful to make morphed sounds and dynamic, ever changing sequencer patterns.

As always you can try the before buy presets.

J-8 VIRGO

Best regards!
Adrian.

Hi. Ibhad asked elsewhere but did not get a response.
The tryout bank is set to 3 voices per layer.
Is it just the tryout bank set like this or the commercial bank is too?
That setting means any patch in whole mode can only play 3 voices maximum, and dual mode patches three notes can be played and sounded.
Any reason why you choose this?
If the aim was to replicate the hardware, whole mode patches should be set to 8 and split/dual ones to 4.
Thanks

Hi,

Thanks for pointing out, this is now solved in both demo version and commercial version.

All presets have 8 voices, with exception bass loops and some punctual presets.

Cheers

And bought...... :)
A second suggestion.
I noted in the walk thru video you were using 1.1.6 (he is now at 1.3.2)... the pitch wheel parameters changed to be more main stream.. it does go two octaves still but each integer is one semitone (it was a tone before), it roughly remakes fine I believe, but the reason why I bring this is up if is you use the shift wheel whilst adjusting the pitchwheel values, it snaps to integers, so like this patch which shows 1.95, if you used the shift wheel, it would snap to 2.
