I really like Microtonic but don't like the standard skin, so once I'd seen the silver skin I thought I'd have another go at changing the skin. But I don't seem to be getting anywhere with it. I've probably missed something simple, so here's what I've try'd so far.
I have done the "Microtonic V3.3 Resources" folder thing within my VST Sonic Charge folder and Documents, Sonic Charge folder.
I have had the skin in its own folder within the "Microtonic V3.3 Resources" folder.
Skin contents taken out of that folder up a level into the Microtonic V3.3 Resources folder.
Then Microtonic in the "Microtonic V3.3 Resources" folder with skin folder/ skin folder contents.
Then a text file to location of Microtonic V3.3 Resources" folder.
Any ideas what I'm doing wrong? Thanks

You go to your directory that houses your vst intruments (dll's etc..on win) , in that directory you create the folder "Microtonic V3.3 Resources" , put all the individual png files in that folder .

Can't believe it ,,, I did that yesterday and it would not work. Its working now. Thanks gentleclockdivider, , , its sort of like when I resort to asking the wife where something is when I've been looking everywhere and cant find the item, it then just seems to pop out of another dimension as I'm speaking to where I'd been previously lookinggentleclockdivider wrote: Sat Jan 30, 2021 12:01 pm You go to your directory that houses your vst intruments (dll's etc..on win) , in that directory you create the folder "Microtonic V3.3 Resources" , put all the individual png files in that folder .

I made a new skin. It's a blue steel version of the silver skin.

I haven't used this in a while, but now I'm inspired - these are awesome.

That motivated me to try installing this - I am trying the path option ('Create a text file named “Microtonic V3.3 Resources Path.txt” and in this text file write the full path to where you have the resource files stored.') so I can switch skins more easily by just changing the path - however I don't seem to have it right - how is the pathname written? Do I need it in inverted commas?
Currently I have it as this: '/Users/myname/Documents/Sonic Charge/Microtonic Skins/tonicBlueSteel'
