Yeees! I know people who didn't buy Falcon because it had no undo! Excellent, thanks.

This was the number one thing Falcon needed

I think number one thing Falcon needs is demo mode, so that more people see what it can do.

Just thinking again how slick and functional UVI Portal is compared to a number of similar product installers from other companies (PluginAlliance's being the most useless)

Falcon 2.1.2
------------
- Add global Undo/Redo feature (Kudos to Louis for taking up this complicated task)
- Allow to disable switch to info page for soundbank
- Fix some obscure crashes
- Fix regression regarding File dialog on system with UTF-8 folder name
Official changelog should be online shortly.

Also nice that you still can download the software directly on the webpage, without an installer app. So it is meant for extra comfort, not for annoying the people.aMUSEd wrote: Wed Feb 10, 2021 9:39 am Just thinking again how slick and functional UVI Portal is compared to a number of similar product installers from other companies (PluginAlliance's being the most useless)

I think those of us with fast broadband like it a lot more than people without that because UVI still insist on using monolithic file transfers for small updates e.g. this morning I had updates to Synth Anthology 3 and PX Memories which required 40+ GB in file downloads. Even on my 400 Mb/s broadband that's going to take a while, especially if the UVI server doesn't serve files at full speed (I thought I'd been getting 40 Mb/s, but it's actually 40 MB/s). I feel for anyone out in the sticks* having to put up with slower connections (* or in Beverly Hills going by a recent Kevin Smith interview).aMUSEd wrote: Wed Feb 10, 2021 9:39 am Just thinking again how slick and functional UVI Portal is compared to a number of similar product installers from other companies (PluginAlliance's being the most useless)

I guess due to encryption or so, a single byte change then can change the whole 40 gb file... Maybe. I wouldn't have a solution for this, seems to be impossible to supply diff patches only.

Undo? Nice, finally. Number one was for me multi-core support but I know its not easy and now I do not need it anymore, so all is fine
But Falcon is still so damn slow against Kontakt when loading large sample libraries.
But then I really appreciate all the free updates (and even a major update for free) since I bought it.
I also like UVI in general when it comes to communication and support.
So, thank you UVI.

Can Falcon save samples within a patch?

No, AFAIK. It only has patch+samples option.

I sold Falcon in the end, but I'm very happy Undo has finally added for users, hats off to UVI must have been quite the undertaking for such a massive synth!
Always Read the Manual!

Still no option to map a midi controller to switch through the massive list of patches..
Please UVI consider this. Arturia has added this as an option to all of their synths, and it makes a huge difference in workflow. Thnx
Or better yet please add,a Midi learn option to assign midi controllers to control mouse for browsing and searching through libraries and presets.
