I can't remember offhand if the default is 2 or 4 seconds, but am I right in thinking if you have more RAM you could use more preload ? Or is it a fail safe just to get smooth playback ?

I have more RAM in my system now, and looking to utilise it more.
Don't trust those with words of weakness, they are the most aggressive
