Just ask yourself what did Giorgio Moroder use?

I hear mostly guitars and piano. You're gonna want a guitar vst.

And Myley actually sounds really good here it's like some sort of Folk Pop.

I expected somebody to say Discodsp cause it's in their name :)
What kind of temper must have a vst synth to make such vibe, that's my question?
So many vst synths today, but only few makes me 'feel' something playing with their 'character'.
I'm nether digital fan nor old school analog gear lover, more like modern warm analogish sound with little bit of retro ideas about music, don't know maybe it's important for every musician to define his music style and identity or something, but i can't :)
Use to be guitar player last 25 years, but can't imagine a dope song without a nice synth part,so maybe i see things as producer.

Obsession, Legend and Jup-8 V will really be all one needs.

yeah moog emolations are almost mandatory for any retro vibe, but if a man wanna produce some modern mix of italo disco, synth pop and similar styles i personally wouldn't rely on moogish synths only.
It's serious challenge to find suitable and capable synths with right temper i guess.
Cheers :)

This is more house than disco but since i would imagine any modern song going for one would incorporate elements of the other id say you can't go wrong with a juno clone and the M1

Diva for a modern take on disco sounds, like for example Metro Area

DiscoDSP's Bliss Sampler has been in my sights for years. You could certainly use it for the genre, too.

TAL U-NO-LX, the perfect Juno emulation. It’s perfect for 80s disco and pop, I used it all over in my cover of Madonna’s Into the Groove, a song which was named the best dance track of the eighties: https://soundcloud.app.goo.gl/NbUR51pJBCoPdput9

Nice,it gives that exact feeling of 80's and disco era :)

Thanks mate! The bass is 2 layers of the TAL U-NO-LX, although I think on the original a Minimoog was used
