Ditto :)

Unfortunately it looks like as of 2021, I'm not eligible for loyalty vouchers anymore, so it's outside the 'no brainer' category for me (especially since I have to pay additional taxes). I'm still going to have a good look at the demo.

Just ask for a $25 voucher in sell & buy/bargain topic and someone might be able to help you out. :) Unfortunately, I already sold mine.

I've had it for four months or so and I've not noticed any bugs, so they probably have fixed 'em. I don't regret paying $74 for it at all.

Except the one where synth changing response of controls and filters if you change sampling rate.
And every other bug since the initial aliasing bug.

Which blah blah blah BONES doesn't need so nobody needs it because companies pretty much work for BONES only.

Last update was in July 2020, so it's the typical PA "release and dump"

I think most of us know/expect this when we buy from PA, one of the reasons I only ever pay pocket money prices for their stuff, updates/support is next to zero, but you get what you pay for.
X32 and 24C mixers, S88MK3, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6, Pro3, S4, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone, OP1-F, OPXY, TR-1000, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

I wouldn't say "release and dump", because they do provide updates, and they do fix bugs. But, I definitely think in the "you get what you pay for" dimensions as well. With any software.

That said, Knifonium hasn't wowed me so much that I would buy it. It's a nice synth, and up there with good emulations of other manufacturers, but, I'm really picky about shelling more money for a hobby I really rarely pursue, so, I rather save up for something I really, really want (as it always is, I already have my eye on something... :D).

With PA it's like this:
"hey PA Support there's a bug in knif"
- annual ticket purge -
"Hey PA Support, here's the same bug as before the purge"
- random ticket deletion -
Dirk goes on GS: "Well SSL/Knif/Whatever said it's fine so idk what you guys are complaining"
And then nothing happens for two years.

1.0.1 was the initial aliasing bug fix which really was terrible and obvious and they rolled it out in a week.
Since then, silence, and Knif still changes its response to automation if you changing sampling rates, and it hasn't been fixed yet.

Reveal sound for example is more like this:
"Hey reveal sound, M1 build is buggy"
sameday: "can you send a video?"
i send a video
next day: "here's a new build for you to try, can you report back?"
(my most recent experience).
Voxengo experience was similar. (Also recent)
So was Youlean and so was Applied Acoustics.

15$ is what knif is worth considering the support you get with it. It's a bargain bin grab that you don't care if it breaks.

Trust me, there are bugs in Spire as well. Enough of them. ;) They do work continuously on it though, that's true.

I always wonder how many people actually report bugs, and how precise those bug reports are. I found a lot of bugs in audio plugins over the years. Some are really dreadful, in the sense of "Fkn hell, that must have been apparent during beta testing!". When I take a look at software, it appears to me that, in general, it's becoming more and more buggy, and more and more complex, up to a point where I wonder if the developers don't overtax themselves.
