It's up to the participants to name their tracks correctly. Maybe BJ/RS need to "remind" us to do it right? I agree, it does make it a longer process when you don't have the info to hand.

Mind you, some people here prefer that the tracks are anonymous at voting time ...

Yes, I try to make mine as not by me by changing the title to either Taron, schiing or any number of top fivers

I have positioned tracks in Gold/Silver/Bronze
Tbh to complete a track in a month, no matter what Synth, be it ITB or HW is a great step to take

That's how I thought it goes, doesn't it?

I thought the Track title should be

name - track title - OSC# + Synth Used

e.g. "DoctorBob - Ambientia - OSC#74 Synth1"

In your post of the track you should include DAW used, number of instances of the synth, a count of each of the FX used.

Anything else is a bonus to us onlookers!!!!

btw, it seems there isn't actually a rule for the display title format, only one for the uploaded file.
"Soundcloud file-name format: Artist - Track Title where artist name is the same as KVR nick."
That's all on titles. It's convenient to apply it to the display title too, totally agree on that. Adding Synth Used in rounds of the -any synth- variety is an fine idea too. I'll do that in the future.

For my own sake I would like too see only the track titles, in alphabetic order,
in the right column of the voting page.

1) the OSC number is at the top of the page, no needs to repeat it
2) the theme we know what it is, since the voters are the same people as the partecipants
3) if I want to read what the author comments: right click on track player and open the relative SC page in another tab.

Quite a few participants do not show details in their SC description, so this does often not apply. Would be nice if it did.

Apropos of nothing: There's no way to do it within the current system, so it's just a whimsy - but wouldn't it be cool if the tracks were simply tagged #1-52 on the OSC page - no info, totally anonymous, no preconceptions!

I think we should ask participants to write the same lines in SC track note as in the KVR thread , since browsing through the thread is not practical. Anyway as IV! said we're in chaos and let's enjoy it, LOL

For sure, I don't think it's a realistic notion - we'd lose too many of the things that makes OSC what it is. But I was intrigued by the idea.

[edit: And if we really want to do something similar to that individually, we can simply play/record the SC list and score the entries without peeking at the data ]

Pfff... my only concern is convenience for our managers (BJ/RS). Amazing enough that they do that and keep doing it for years already and years to come. Whatever makes it the most pleasant for them is the only thing that matters to me.
