Thanks Markus!Markus Krause wrote: Fri Feb 12, 2021 9:32 amYou can use strg+leftclick or ctrl+leftclick to reset a knob.Ranoka wrote: Fri Feb 12, 2021 12:06 am Markus, I'm so used to double clicking knobs to reset them, and using my scroll wheel over the drop-down menus to switch between the options like in your other synths...
To pan the output with a fixed value use these settings for the Aux Env.
Attack 0
Sustain 100
Send +100 (for right) or -100 (for left)
Routing target: Pan
I figured out already that I can ctrl+leftclick to reset the knobs, but my left hand is on my midi controller auditioning the sounds, so I have to keep moving it to my keyboard. The workflow would be better if I can also double click the knob like on your other synths - since double clicking currently does nothing it isn't conflicting with entering numerical values or something else.
Any chance of adding mouse wheel support for changing through the dropdown options? Other synths like Gladiator have little arrows as an alternative to cycling through - but I understand to keep the UI clean you wouldn't want to add those to Warlock. It's personal preference of course but I like to have an alternative to selecting from a dropdown for when I'm auditioning how they sound without specifically selecting one from a list.

You can automatically load your own user-banks to Warlock.
In the next update you can save your sound-bank as
Documents\Tone2\Warlock\UserA.t2b (PC)
/Library/Application Support/Tone2/Warlock/UserA.t2b (Mac)

And you could have shared thousands via XML (not HTML, though as HTML is text-based I suppose it'd be theoretically just as usable, just really, really goofy) in the time it took to find a place to upload your .fxp, upload it, go back to whatever forum/platform you were sharing it from, paste the link, then for someone else to download it (either sticking it somewhere other than the default "Download" folder or navigating to their default "Download" folder within their plugin's browser when opening it).Teksonik wrote: Fri Feb 12, 2021 2:50 amI've shared hundred of patches with others either in .fxp/.fxb format or the native format of the plugin.Lint_Huffer7 wrote: Fri Feb 12, 2021 1:06 amMuch easier to share with others, and as I already explained in my first post, it also offers a way to ensure project settings are backed up that doesn't result in fifty useless presets cluttering up my user folder.Teksonik wrote: Wed Feb 10, 2021 12:26 am How would that be any quicker or easier than simply loading a preset ?

Actually before you were talking about M1 and the linked thread talks about M1. User was asking about Intel. Steinberg guy says hes able to debug AUv3 in response to you.Markus Krause wrote: Fri Feb 12, 2021 9:26 amAs mentioned before. Big Sur does not allow to debug the audiounit validation to find the source of the error. The issue affects all plugin developers.CinningBao wrote: Thu Feb 11, 2021 5:12 pm Well, I completely missed the 'no AU' line in this thread or on the share-it page.
@Markus, are you actually stating that there is no AU for this product anywhere? Can you at least compile it for Intel?
If not, I'll be asking for a refund, which is a shame because I used Firebird in literally every thing I wrote back.. then (some years ago)
You can send an email to support@tone2.com. Troels will take care of you

fwiw, all these developers have already made intel/M1 AUs: audio damage, discoDSP, fuse audio, hornet, melda, TAL, tokyo dawn, fabfilter, valhalla dsp... while many more developers have this scheduled.
meanwhile, intel-only AUs work in rosetta2. so, even an intel AU would benefit all logic users...

Please stop this 'developer XYZ' and plugin 'ABC' is able to do XYZ argumentation. It doesn't work, because we use different frameworks, different compilers and different computers for development.
Most other developers for example do not use natively the VST3.7 SDK with VSTGUI from Steinberg. They use Juce instead, which is a middleware. To make things even more complicated we are also dealing with different CPUs, different operation systems and 'software notarisation'.
When I say 'I tried but I can't make it work' just believe me. Trust me, I am really not happy about this. I may be a very good programmer, but I am not a magician.
I will take a look at the AUv3 specification. Maybe I can at least make this one work. AUv2 is an old plugin-format that frequently makes trouble with detecting plugins and doesn't get any love from Apple since many years. I guess they'll drop it soon (not sure if it is even already deprecated?)

A custom sound bank is not saved with the project here in Reaper 6.2 x64 on Win 8.1. There is only one preset recalled and that has to be the last you called up.Markus Krause wrote: Fri Feb 12, 2021 9:46 amYou can open the manual by clicking on the 'HELP' button on the bottom.simmo75 wrote: Thu Feb 11, 2021 6:09 pm Where and how do you save User Patches on Mac?
I can't find where the sound banks are installed.
Thanks in advance.
https://www.tone2.com/warlock_help.html
FILE
The file-menu stores and saves patches. A single patch is a fxp file. A sound-bank consists of 128 patches and is a t2b file.
All patches that come with warlock are built-in within the vst3/dll file. They are no separate files on your harddisc.
Loads a single patch (.fxp).
Loads a sound-bank with 128 patches (.t2b).
Saves a single patch (.fxp),
Saves a sound-bank with 128 patches (.t2b).
Copy the current patch
Paste a previously copied patch to the current slot
Hint: If you want to assemble your own sound-bank you can load several single patches at once. When you hold down the shift key when the file-dialog for fxp loading is opened, you can also select several files. Warlock will now load all selected fxp files.
Hint: You can automatically load your own sound-bank to Warlock. Place WarlockUserA.t2b to "C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3" (on PC) or "/Library/Application Support/Tone2/Warlock/" (on Mac) . When you select Custom as a sound-bank in Warlock your own one will be loaded.
Hint: It is possible to rename a patch. First use 'Save patch (.fxp) to save it to your harddisc. Then rename the file with the explorer/finder. Finally import it with 'Load patch (.fxp)' again.
If you load a custom sound-bank and load a factory preset as the last preset before saving the project, after reloading that project nothing is in the custom sound-bank (empty).
A custom sound-bank is important because you can give it a meaningfull name.
The disatvantage of automatically loading user bank A-B-C is that they don't have a meaningfull name and that I have to store them on a C:-System drive. I never save any VSTi, content, samples, presets, etc. on a System-Drive. Everything is external and this works perfect without any problems since many years and I will never change this for reasons of security.
I have never seen such a strange preset and bank handling in a VSTi, even the original Firebird was/is better in this regard.

Sorry I meant .xml files which are just files like .fxp and .fxb files so I fail to see any advantage of that format over any other and since you're the only one who wants it that should tell you something.Lint_Huffer7 wrote: Fri Feb 12, 2021 1:47 pm And you could have shared thousands via XML (not HTML, though as HTML is text-based I suppose it'd be theoretically just as usable, just really, really goofy) in the time it took to find a place to upload your .fxp, upload it, go back to whatever forum/platform you were sharing it from, paste the link, then for someone else to download it (either sticking it somewhere other than the default "Download" folder or navigating to their default "Download" folder within their plugin's browser when opening it).
Anyway this discussion is off topic for this thread so I'll not comment any further. Maybe make a thread in the Everything Else sub-forum and discuss it there. Perhaps you'll be able to put forth a convincing argument there and convert us all to be fans of using .xml files. So far you've failed to convince me....

@MorpherX:
The host only stores the current preset and not the complete bank when you save and re-load a project. This is intended. The reason for this is performance, host-compatibility and hard-disc usage.
Just imagine the patches of all banks would be saved with the song. Then 2 MB of discspace would be wasted for a single instance of Warlock. With 10 instaces your song then would be at least 20 MB large.
When the current bank (=128 patches) would be stored nearly 1 MB would be wasted for 10 instances of Warlock. While this may still be acceptable there are some hosts that automtically do backups. Your hard-disc would still be filled sillently in the background.
The current solution only stores the current patch. Only 7 KB is needed for a song with 10 instances. Furthermore your song loads instantly.

I absolutely appreciate that there are numerous things which can impact these multi-format/platform applications; it's things like this which have prevented me from exploring the "sell plugins" territory with any real gusto.Markus Krause wrote: Fri Feb 12, 2021 3:33 pm ..

I stumbled across your SDK 3.71 / AUv2 thread and can see you didn't get much in the responses, and I'm not gonna ask if his suggestion helped at all; I think we already know the answer!
Here's to you having some success with an AUv3 compile!
(I really hope it works) I'll hold off on the refund until it's clear no AU will appear
