I'm very happy to announce the release of my new sound bank for U-he DIVA:

Into Darkness

This collection of 88 sounds is about the road less traveled. A road that leads into darker moods with strong resonant peaks, distorted edges and mysterious valleys. Washed out bells, hazy leads, deep drones, haunted pads and twisted textures.

Dark, resonant, gritty, otherworldly, stranger than many strange things. Sombre shapes moving through the ether and sorrowful memories of past lives will lead you….Into Darkness

Thanks a lot for this amazing soundset. Wonderful Pads. I converted to nks with previews for using in maschine and komplete kontrol and to guru.files to use in Unify (Pluginguru).

I hardly ever buy presets, but I picked this set up today. It sounds great, I think it breathes fresh life into Diva actually, highlighting a kind of different dimension. You didn't say here, but your web page said based on the MS 20 engine, which is what grabbed me first.

Great job! I hope you continue and maybe even make a set for each of the 'engines' inside. If you do vote would be for the final addition the JP8000 digital osc and the Oberheim filter.

It really make me wonder why the Diva presets weren't split more definitively into these engines in the first place...

Leras, I believe the JP8000 osc and oberheim filter came in awhile after Diva was released (and most of the factory bank was done).

They came in a 1.3 update, 2 years after Diva's release.

Yep, I know, but what are the others, Moog, Roland Juno, Jupiter? Just saying a bank for those last two (JP8000 + Oberheim) could maybe be considered as a single 'engine', same as MS 20 was for this brilliant set!

And re: the presets, I just thing it would have been good to have a set for each setup from the start e.g. moog, jupiter, ms20 etc. I know there are presets of each in amongst all the sounds - but splitting by 'engine' could have been a nice way to do it too. *maybe also there are some like that I'm just not remembering correctly!

It's inspired by a sampling session of a real, vintage MS-20. It was done for a certain project...
I played a vintage MS-20 a long, long time ago at a studio I used to work at, then didn't have access to one for many years. When it came to sampling the MS-20 recently, I was yet again in heaven, remembering my first time when I played it and now sitting there, pushing it into extremes with highly resonant but yet darker patches. I don't have the MS-20 at home so I wanted to have a few MS-20-like patches in software. And so 'Into Darkness' was born.

I also like Cypher2 for similar sounds. It can get equally as 'texturised' with its dual filters.
