"Another new addition is a dedicated wave-analyze section that allows to analyze of sample data into a waveform, which then again can be used in the Harmolator or Additive section"

It's a pretty long way from normal sampling, though..starflakeprj wrote: Sat Oct 31, 2020 4:37 pm"Another new addition is a dedicated wave-analyze section that allows to analyze of sample data into a waveform, which then again can be used in the Harmolator or Additive section"
Blade 2 is a big improvement over its predecessor without a doubt, but I'm struggling to get much out of the user waves to be honest
I make videos about synths, you can find my channel here:

I believe you can switch to an 'easy' mode. I only loaded it up once (got it free as part of the Explorer bundle). Although this doesn't change the colorscheme, it is a little easier on the eyes.Igro wrote: Fri Oct 30, 2020 5:39 pm The GUI is hard to read. Blue parameters and dark and cloudy background. Looks like a synthedit synth

I agree. As much as I like this piece of software for other reasons ... the GUI is suboptimal.

Honestly, I own Explorer 6 and think that about every single plugin he’s made. It stops me from using them, complete creativity killer for me.

It does get a bit overwhelming sometimes yes. But then I see 1300 knobs on Predator 2, I think "oh boy where to start", then I randomly start turning knobs and sliders because I'm an idiot, and boom! A completely new and awesome sound.

That’s the best way with RP stuff - map as many of the plugin controls to physical knobs and faders as you can, stick a loop going and start tweaking. Obviously if it’s something RG or Subboombass 2 then you may need to create a sequence in there too, but that’s fairly obvious and there are stacks of presets to play with.

pump up the thread!
recently (2 days..) acquired Blade 2 (and Blue 2 and Punch 2).
i can get that the GUI is somewhat confusing, at the first look, but after working with it, it is quite logical. i can find everything quite fast. o it is more about the look, this is an EDIT..., mmmmh, no problems with it. perhaps it has been changed.
must map it, it still. i map all my synths, but lately.. when i buy them first mapping, then working, now working, then mapping..
o well.
great synth, there aren't that many additive synths out there, and this one is quite impressive. the XY pad (use it with a lightpad M, which really follows the movements on the screen, other XY pads don't do that), so yes one 'mapping', and of course;
MPE!
i must still RTFM, but i like the sound, the possibilities. did some patching, i have the knowledge, not the specific knowledge of some of the areas of this synth. so exploring!
