It's also a great conductor of electricity, so maybe no company wants the liability of some stoned guitarist taking his new HydroScream amp into the tub with himzerocrossing wrote: Thu Feb 18, 2021 3:12 am Water’s a great conductor of sound, yet almost nothing is named water related.

I clearly said, “wrong answers only.”DJ Warmonger wrote: Thu Feb 18, 2021 9:49 am Many things are named after space objects if they're supposed to be big or reach new frontiers. Water is too common, for that matter.
Another area of inspiration could be "transcendence", "nirvana" or other boundaries of human mind... but not many people ever witnessed them or can visualize them. For space objects its easy: Hey look, big space rock! Burning comet! Shining galaxy!
Kudos for those who can explain "mindfulness" in just a few concise words. These feel more abstract and intangible than physical objects.

The space is a basic metaphor when speaking about abstract notions. We explain abstract notions by spacial images as we know what the space is. "High/low income", "wide diversity", "high school" etc., etc., etc. This is one of most important mechanisms of human cognition. It's inevitable, it's everywhere.
