I have thought about this request to cause I mostly dont use a midi keyboard, especially with my notebook on the road. So without a keyboard (of course hideable) the standalone version, which otherwise could be sufficient for preset generation, is nearly unuseable without. So I would really love an midi keyboard at the bottomn, at least for the standalone version.Markus Krause wrote: Thu Feb 18, 2021 2:11 pm So far not many users did request a keyboard for our synths in the past.
But I agree that it would look nice.

That's great !Markus Krause wrote: Fri Feb 19, 2021 4:05 pmCopy & paste has also been requested by another user. I also would appreciate it for myself.MorpherX wrote: Fri Feb 19, 2021 2:45 pm FR:
- Copy/Paste of one Ocilator, also between Instances
- Drag and Drop of presets from browser, because it's much faster than loading presets via menu.
Not sure where to place it in the interface. Maybe rename the 'init patch' button to edit and then add a submenu there
Drag and would also be very helpfull because nearly every DAW has a browser from where a user could very fast exchange presets.
ElectraX also has Drag and Drop, at least for samples, so you know how to implement it.
Thank's in advance !

I am a bit scared to implement it. Steinberg's VST 3.7 SDK + VSTGUI is filled with bugs. Not sure if it properly works in all hosts and if there could occur crashes. It definitely requires lots of testing. I will only implement features that properly work on all systems. People (especially here on kvr) behave very aggressive and quickly start rants if only small issues occur.Drag and would also be very helpfull because nearly every DAW has a browser from where a user could very fast exchange presets.

I like the gui, because it is so nicely reduced. Only the photoshop filter fake depth is not my cup of tea. I think it would look better, if it was flat. Somehow the GUI reminds me of an old Amiga packer tool or so

I could test Drag/Drop presets with VST2/3 on Win 8.1 x64 and Reaper 6.2 x64.Markus Krause wrote: Sat Feb 20, 2021 7:41 am

If I am correct this RC3 is still Pre-Release and not the final version. If there were drastic issues (crashes) with Drag/Drop on some systems you could then still remove it from the final version.

How would Drag and Drop of presets be any faster than simply selecting a preset from within banks ?
In other words does the potential benefit of the feature justify the development time to implement the feature ? Consider the feature has to work in up to a dozen different DAWs on two or more different Operating Systems.
Seems like a lot of work for something that doesn't enhance the range of sounds Warlock can make just to maybe save a little time.

If a user want specific presets for every project and if every project has some instances of Warlock with different presets, than the presets for one project can not be stored in a bank called Project XY because a user can only call UserA-C bank but not banks with specific names which change the name with every new project and it's also not possible to save a custom bank with the project, only one preset.
Therefore I have to save the presets for Warlock for one Project for later edit or recall. If a user later wants to recall presets from former projects he has to use the File-Menu and look and search for the presets. If a user now has the ability to Drag/Drop presets from the DAW browser than this is much faster and user-friendly.
And this feature helps all users, not only me.
Beside this I have many VSTi where I can Drag/Drop presets or samples from DAW browser to VSTi. Maybe with VST3 it's more difficult, I don't know, I am not a VSTi programmer.

Ive been testing out the demo..
Sounds and looks great! I really like the workflow, its fast and simple yet unique. Ive had a lot of fun playing around with it so far
I did have firebird years back and used to enjoy using it. I can definitely see how they are related but Warlock is better.
All midi control including aftertouch seems to change just the osc 1 waveform and also no midi learn. Im sure this is due to it being unfinished atm and the final one will fix this.
I dont need it by any means but i will likely buy it as its quick to program, fun and its almost impossible to make it sound bad. Surprisingly does more unique things than i expected (I own icarus 2 and Gladiator 3 btw)

Maybe its a bug but my demo doesnt seem to expire at all. Im familiar with tone2 demos and was expecting it to last about 20 minutes. So far it seems to work in full. I'll still buy it as soon as the midi control things are fixed thoughAmram wrote: Sat Feb 20, 2021 9:07 pm @markus
Can you change the time limitation of the demo to unlimited.
So, the user can choose if it's right for him with the time.

Aren't the presets saved in your project? They are in my projects across multiple DAWs.MorpherX wrote: Sat Feb 20, 2021 5:31 pm If a user want specific presets for every project and if every project has some instances of Warlock with different presets, than the presets for one project can not be stored in a bank called Project XY
We've got room for 384 User Patches as it is now and more are accessible by simply loading an .fxb file which can have the name Project XY.
So I'm not seeing the value in drag and drop since I normally don't have a Browser open when I'm working on projects.
But it's up to Markus how he wants to spend his development time.

To me that reads like "can you make the demo time unlimited so I can use it without having to pay for it...Amram wrote: Sat Feb 20, 2021 9:07 pm @markus

In my opinion it shouldn't take more than a few minutes to decide if a synth, any synth is right for you.
If it takes you much longer than that to decide then the synth is probably not for you.....

The demo works for a month, so you have around 43.800 minutes to test.discogsaddict wrote: Sat Feb 20, 2021 9:23 pm Maybe its a bug but my demo doesnt seem to expire at all. Im familiar with tone2 demos and was expecting it to last about 20 minutes.
