Just handling some midi in my track.
I know it can be done, but dunno how.
How do I select all midi notes, lets say, to the right side of my curser, so that I could move all this notes to where ever I want.

Same for the notes to the left from my curser.
Thanks

I find Reaper's midi handling to be very unintuitive, so don't think it's you :)

I would suggest checking in at their forum and watch the videos in their Resources link or go to the Newbieland section. https://forum.cockos.com/forumdisplay.php?f=20

You can just right click and drag select all the notes you want them move them wherever. If it's literally everything left or right of the cursor you could split the clip and move that instead. There's probably an action to do this, usually is. :) Hit ? and search the list.

I'm not sure where's the problem here exactly. There are multiple ways to achieve this, the most basic being simply zooming out enough so that you can see the end of the item, and selecting all the notes via marquee select. Or you can do a time selection, and then use the "select all notes in time selection" action.

The stock configuration is pretty crazy, not just for MIDI editing. But if you spend some time in the Mouse Modifiers section in the settings, and hunt for some useful actions in the action menu (which you can then map to shortcuts, or place in a toolbar or a menu, your choice), you can fine tune it to a pretty ridiculous degree.

look in preferences, mouse modifiers, MIDI note left click. 'select note and all later notes' is one of the available choices

also look in the action list for 'invert selection', give it a shortcut

the mouse command will grab everything to the right of a clicked note, if you then use invert selection you'll have everything to the left

Cool, that was exactly what I was looking for.
I made a shortcut in Studio One 5 Artist to make it happen and will install the same shortcut in Reaper also.

Thanks a lot.
