I like Rick rubin´s sound
Raw, detailed, sharp but still pleasant to ears.
Mainly his drums, transients etc.
What are his methods for recording and postproduction drums for example?
Share your tips for recording techniques and plugins / mixing techniques
And many of his records are mastered by Vlado Meller who have unique style very loud but clean with nice trebles and transients. How to?
Thanks

There's literally almost an infinite amount of factors involved in a Rick Rubin production, much of which he could probably not vocalize to you himself. You could probably spend years with him and still not be able to re-create his production traits.
His strength is more advisory as opposed to engineering. He is a master at knowing what sounds good, as opposed to how to get sounds. He's keenly aware of arrangements and lyrics, he's knows who's capable of what. The reason his productions sound so good is because he demands that they do, and he has the means to make it happen. It's simply the result of a great drummer in a great studio with a great producer and a great mixer with a great song.

Watch Andrew Scheps mixing videos on youtube! He parallel compresses his drums so the transients remain punchy while the decay/sustain increase around. As for Vlado, grab a Waves L1 and don't be shy.

because I heard various mixes made by Rick Rubin mastered by various persons, and also various masters by Vlado Meller mixed by various persons and still hear his signature.Hermetech Mastering wrote: Sat Jun 05, 2021 3:09 pmWithout having heard the mixes before mastering, how do you know what was done there?Prototech wrote: Fri Feb 19, 2021 7:16 pmAnd many of his records are mastered by Vlado Meller who have unique style very loud but clean with nice trebles and transients.
