Melodyne vs VariAudio

I never used melodyne much. I gave it another shot once they introduced ARA support in Cubase, but it felt unwieldy to me compared to VariAudio. In a situation where I would need pitch correction, I'd want to fix up a recording before I could really make a decision about whether x take is the best once it's all in tune, or if I should steal bits from Y and Z takes to make a comp, and so on. Super easy to do that with VariAudio. Can't swap things in and out on the fly like that with Melodyne AFAIK. I don't doubt it has better algorithms though, but VariAudio sounds okay as long as you don't push it.

Wait a sec, people actually like waves tune??? I demo'ed that plugin and it sounded do bad I closed it and never opened it again after a couple of minutes. Now I'm mad I didn't give it more time before the demo expired.

Yes, old Waves Tune is the best sounding in my book
