Then they are not real pRofFession@lZ, as anyone knows as only the real real producas use a Mac. Anyone else is using Fruity Loops

im guess they are aiming at the pro market, not kvr hobbyists
They missed a trick by not making it Pro Tools only.
They also could have specified a new type of dongle that was USB one end with a beard clip at the other.
i like this dongle idea :tu:
we should talk business.

From their webpage:
"Our sole aim is to offer the highest audio quality products in the virtual instrument arena. (Actually, thinking about it, our other sole aim is to deliver a level of service that leaves every single customer with a smile on their face. Not too hard when you truly love what you do.)"

Only platitudes..

Of course not. That was 15 years ago if at all.

I'll get my barber to send smoke signals to your barber.
He uses a singeing taper soaked in lavender to send the signals and puts the taper out in a jug of organic craft beer.

I remember GeForce at one point being on top of the VST analog emulation game (15-20 years ago). That was a long time ago... have their instruments been updated since or are they the same as they used to be (sound-wise)? I honestly thought they were done as a company besides selling over priced tape libraries for the M-Tron.

For a company with such a long history and reputation to develop a synth plugin in a Mac only code seems so strangely dense it’s almost fascinating. That doesn’t sound like a successful company, that sounds like a company with no budget or ability for development and then somehow finding the cheapest way to try and get back in the game. That or as others suggested a side hobby that potentially also lacks upfront funding.

I wish them luck, though. I have bx_oberhausen but it didn’t compare as well as expected to a real SEM. To me Repro-1 was pretty close to a real Prophet One and both Legend and Model 72 (and Monark to a certain degree) also sounded pretty close to a real Minimoog. I know some people are bored of emulations, but I’m still wanting a better SEM (among other things) ITB. Not sure is this plugin sounds good or not but I’ve been building my own PCs since the late 90’s, so I’ll have to wait my turn to really hear it.

Regarding owning lots of synths... many ways to get there. One can make money doing music or running a music related business... but it’s not as common in my world as the trust funder, blues lawyer or someone who’s older and bought those in the late 80’s when they were being tossed into the trash. The later option seems very possible here, but I know people who have choice gear from many different circumstances.

New marketing twist.

Release mac only, cause a lot of indignation among win users, by the time you release the win version people are so hot they cant break out their wallets fast enough. :D

JunkieXL:

"People are so precious about what computer they work on, but I don’t care. I always used to work on a Mac and now everything is PC, because Cubase works so much better on a PC. There are so many people, I’m sure you see them too, like Logic users who are Cubase haters and Cubase users who are Logic haters, and then there Mac versus PC. I never got that. You have to pick whatever works best for you.

Maybe you learn something from a real pro but i guess you rather stay small and biased. That's where you belong. :hihi:

Here's what I don't get. Every time Apple makes a change to their OS, it breaks everything. Venders even have to send out emails to their customers warning them about upgrading to the latest MAC disaster. And yet, people STILL put up with it.

I'm not saying that Windows is perfect, but I wouldn't in a million years use an OS that I have to worry about bringing my whole studio to its knees.

It makes absolutely NO sense.

Post

It doesn't break everything.
