reverbs or delay networks that does tempo-synced gate reverb or reverse gate ?

Just wanted to open a thread on this peculiar topic
i for one know two plugin that can handle this fonction with both unavoidable defects but though, with a honourable usuability
1) tone2 ultraspace : easy and quick handling to get decent results
2) valhalla ubermod : more versatile and elaborate plugin, but all in all with a better, if not way better quality/price ratio that the 1st one
And apart from these two ?

To be clear, you are asking for reverbs and diffuse delays that allow a long pre-delay to be set based on tempo?
Surreal Machines Diffuse is fantastically good at this.
Lots of good delay plugins have a diffusion mode; Replika XT, Sandman Pro, Ubermod you mentioned, Boz Imperial ("smear" control)... Diffuse has the best-sounding diffusion to my ears, and a good fast user interface.
Supermassive sounds incredible but is a bit tricky to dial in for this application.
I think Waves H-Reverb has fairly powerful delay options, and would be a more versatile reverb than the above-mentioned.

Guess op is looking for reverb or diffuse delay plugins with built in gate plus reverse feature. Sync to song tempo seems mandatory.
Valhalla Ubermod is the only one I own which does that all right in one plugin itself and delivers also musical results.

If that is the case, only one that comes to mind is KR-Delay FS. Both Pre-Delay and main Delay can be tempo synced. To be clear, you are asking for reverbs and diffuse delays that allow a long pre-delay to be set based on tempo?

Goodhertz MegaVerb has sync for both predelay and gate/ducker, and the different modes let you tweak buildup time for inverse ‘verbs. The gate/ducker really make this a special piece, nothing else like it.
EA/iZotope R4 reverb has gate plus Late Reflection ducker, also extensive ER shaping for reverse, and tempo sync for both predelay and LR delay.

thanks for all inputs
as far as i can figure out, a crucial point in such a plugin might be it flexibility wathever is the choosen tempo,
...and also in the case it flexibility to adapt itself of continouus tempo changes
- I assume this area being still relatively uncharted, could be an interesting challenge for developers ?

Well, there is more than one way to adapt a delay to changing tempo... Many delays will handle this "tape-style" and you'll hear a pitch bend as the tempo changes.
For a delay that does _not_ do this, consider Sandman Pro in the "modern instant" mode. This mode is designed to handle delay time changes cleanly.

well i was mainly thinking about both "gate reverb" (not "reverb and gate") and "reverse gate" effets that are, as far as i can figure out, quite similar to early reflexion units (and assimilated in some old harware units like in the Yamaha SPX90 "early reflexion" presets ?imrae wrote: Thu Feb 25, 2021 2:17 pm Well, there is more than one way to adapt a delay to changing tempo... i'll have a closer look and sandman pro, nevertheless...
