Ah so its not just marketing BS as someone claimed in that other thread when I mentioned this. Dave noted the low CPU use in his discussion on SonicTalk. Glad to hear you're seeing the same.abernathy wrote: Sat Feb 27, 2021 7:44 pm I've just started playing around with OB-E this morning. I'm getting more and more impressed. I threw this together in Logic with 10 instances of OB-E and the CPU meter barely goes over 25% on my 2015 iMac - much smoother performance than most of my "high quality" synths. This is all OB-E except for a little bit of compression on the mix bus.

Years ago, I tried a trial version of GForce Oddity: it seemed like the trial version worked for months. This GForce OB-E trial version only works for 6 hours or 14 days, whatever is shorter. I learned this the hard way. I only tried a few of the 30 trial presets. DOH!

I think it sounds devine and I won't complain about the intro price of 99 quid.
However, last thing I need is another Obie soft synth recreation s to add to my other two so I'll give it as miss and get my final guitar pedal instead
Great sounding presets though and fun to tweak, if a little overwhelming for my simple mind with the 8 SEMs up on the interface

quite annoying imho...
let's hope they introduce another kind of demo mode in a future update...
...or wait another 10 years 'till there's a 70%off sale

I did something really stupid. I know that it says clearly in the site that it's just for Mac, but I confess I didn't read it. It never crossed my mind that in this day and age, there would be a product launched just for Mac. WTF???? I hope that a Windows is in the works.

The highest form of knowledge is empathy, for it requires us to suspend our egos and live in another's world. It requires profound, purpose‐larger‐than‐the‐self kind of understanding.

this thread will go just as fast as the last one if it turns to a mac vs pc thread
