not the future, no claims about awesomeness either, but just an example for dasheesh, about what is possible if you go for it.
the only sound you hear, is that drum loop. everything, using a granular sample player, in to several granular samplers, with granular fx.
done live, so does go a bit here n there...
but as has been said, that's the first stage, now you cut the big one up, find some cool little loops, sample.
then add to that...

the world is our oyster, the only thing holding anyone back, is themselves.

An idiot on Set Theory:
"In some cases there is an object called red that contains everything that is red. In much the same way a pot is a plate."

Maybe people sobered up?

The answer is obvious.

Though I see it wasn't a question and more of a statement suggesting that it wasn't the music that went wrong but the future itself.

No. Not you. Don't worry. You are flying the flag like a champion. :D

It's a half serious point though: Music does sound better when high. If there is a lack of appreciation of new music, maybe the listener simply isn't high enough.

i prefer to think that since the advent of time travel, the past and future are one. therefore baroque drum n contrabass should be a thing!

The drugs that went with the particular music types are probably very relevant, especially MDMA which changed clubs/culture forever and is probably responsible for the 'dance' scene lasting forever and putting the future on hold :ud: (an ACID face would have been better!)

I would give it a chance.

Chris Morris and Amon Tobin gave us the future of music in the past.

Hehe. I think that such music has always been with us and shall continue to be because of its function in changing states of consciousness. So, maybe not futuristic. Though it is possible to find fresh sounds in clubs and various substances make us more accepting of new experiences. Then we can add new sounds to our own personal mixing pot and maybe some new will function to transform some old into something slightly different.

People started nailing bananas to a wall and calling it art because nothing is real anymore. Either the future really, really sucks, or you are all already digital facsimiles and I just wasn’t quick enough to catch on. https://www.reuters.com/article/us-reta ... ket-newtab
