Extreme Sample Converter

It seems to me that Extreme Sample Converter is the perect file conversion tool. I can convert to Sampletank and Wusikstation. It seems like I can't convert wav to soundfont/ST/WS though. So I was wondering if there is something better than Extreme Sample Converter that I am missing. One that converts to WS, ST and SF2. I would really like it to be able to make a ST file or SF2 from a bunch of waves but that seems no a no go feature as far as I have seen.

I guess the most important one to me would be the ability to get a sample into Sampletank. I could get SF2 to ST with Extreme Sample Conv but getting wav to SF2 seems the problem. Is the only way to do this with something like VSampler?
Off to check out Awave. Thanks

Use AWAVE AUDIO to create a sf2 from your wav's,
then extream to convert to ST.
THE DEMO VERSION LET YOU SAVE 1 sf2,
then yo need to restart it.
http://www.fmjsoft.com/awframe.html
Any sampler can do that too,
but not as fast and easy.

So what is the cheapest way to make a SF2 from a selection of wav files, preferably with the option of keymapping, velicity mapping etc. If there is a free way to do this then I think ESC could still be the best all rounder for me.

I did check it out. Albeit quickly. I didn't see that you could actually map the samples. I successfully made a SF2 file though so it was a start but I was unaware of the option of keymapping, velicity mapping etc. Thanks for your suggestions. I'll look deeper.
Thank you

I can't imagine AWave will be the cheapest solution, though.
Try checking out Synthfont and its included editors to see if it does what you need. Can't beat free to at least try it out.

Thanks mate. I was hoping there would be a cheaper alternative. Especially as I really don't want all the different conversion properties and I don't think AWS does ST2LE.

Oh, BTW, AWave 9.2 is still in BETA, but will allow WusikSND creation and export.
Check It Out
Also, to get a closer peek at AWave in action (using Wusik, but I'm sure it'd be the same for SF2 or others), Check out this tutorial by bobhug.

Do you have a proper SF2-supporting soundcard from Creative, like SBLive or Audigy?
If so, you could probably make your SF2 files with Vienna for free.
