icon platform m+as a midi controler

I know this piece of gear has the mapping possibility and creating seperate scenes. Has anyone used this as a midi CC sender/condtroller with some VST soft like Kontakt or others? Is it reliable?
My intention is to use this platform to control Cubase options and Kontakt's orchestral;s expresion, modulations and on. Will that work? The faders aer long enough and responsive I have learnt.

I know there have been some glithes in the firmware before so I am wondering how much it has been improved.
Would appreciate some answers.
