I use the free version and I'm very happy with it. It's not for the faint-hearted, though. Still learning

Watch Dan Worrell’s video on it, if you haven’t already. I took notes as I watched that one.

For me, TDL Limiter 6 GE is the only limiter that knocked Voxengo Elephant off the top spot. As with all TDL/VOS software, the quality is exceptional. It also doesn't do it justice calling it just a 'Limiter'. It has huge depth with a great set of tools. Fantastic metering also. For the price (imo) it's a bargain for what you get.

I use it on my 2 bus. It can get a bit dirty at times. This can be good and bad. Also. keep in mind you dont have to use every module.
For example.....I use alot of parallel compression in my mixes to build from the bottom up. So when it gets to the master I generally dont need another compressor or a clipper for that matter.....but the HF limiter and multiband peak limiter allows me to get a little more out of it without clipping.
Where as I may use the clipper only on a parallel snare track.
As stated above the metering is fantastic

You can demo it to see if it is to your taste. It is technically excellent as all other Tokyo Dawn plugins.

Thanks for the suggestion, though I cannot find the video. Anyway, I get a nice sound from it.Milford wrote: ↑Sat Mar 06, 2021 1:06 pmI have the GE version at then end of my mix buss, and am also still learning.excuse me please wrote: ↑Sat Mar 06, 2021 12:45 pm I use the free version and I'm very happy with it. It's an excellent set of tools for finalising a track. It's nice being able to re-order limiting and clipping stages and tweak them in the same interface with level-matching bypass.
Nova GE is fantastic by the way, the upwards expander mode works well for bringing life back to crushed material.

it is a comprehensive mastering option. The workflow of how the modules interact with each other can be a bit daunting. But if you put in the time to learn it, other options don't get much better (if at all). I do wish there were more deep dive tutorials on it. Dan's Worall's is a good start but really is only an introduction.

Really nice piece of software, I got Ozone recently but I still go to Limiter 6 most of the times. Love the bus compressor and the clipper, and I use the limiter sometimes too. Really love it.
