Yes so good. And a lot of room for extreme experimentation

I was just playing with the % of convolution/algo against one another
after it's built-in EQ @ zero added overall latency
sounds great

really? I haven't been able to make it sound good on anything, so far. Any tips or good presets your starting with?

I haven't yet checked out 11 but this does look pretty nice.

indeed nothing groundbreaking, but well thought out (or through...), many possibilities.
so a reverb that can be really used, in many ways.

Nothing you couldn't do by combining an algo and convo reverb on FX busses, but it combines all this functionality into a great neat package, which makes it less of a hassle. These type of cleverly designed and implemented effects are the reason why Ableton is superior to more traditional DAWs.

And it has a nice and varied little collection of useful impulses included. Also love the Valhalla Vintage inspired "age setting", which is basically bit reduction I guess?

Really digging it and love the feedback control and Algo modes. IMO the stock Ableton algorithmic Reverb is/was the weakest of all the stock Live effects (well, along with Chorus, Flanger & Phaser that they also updated).

Does this one make Convolution Reverb Pro unnecessary?
Doing nothing is only fun when you have something you are supposed to do.

generally, doesn't convo-reverb require substantial cpu muscle ? v.11 verb shows zero latency, minimal cpu meter action here. Looking forward to exploring it more.
Previously, while I always could use LIVE reverb on mixes, it kinda sounded weak, metallic-ish even at "high quality" setting.
Over the last few years, I've owned/used several of the amazing Sean's Valhalla products on an insert & sends with good results but sad to say, prolly won't be rocking them with this new native device !

no, although it is a hybrid, the convolution reverb, as any convolution reverb, makes use of IR's, and gives a more natural soundig space, that is the purpose, although IR's can also make a convolution reverb sound algorithmic..
but there is a difference; algorithm, 'unnatural', convolution 'natural space', you can hear it. although an algorithmic reverb can give a sense of natural space...

that's why they made the hybrid reverb, best of 2 worlds, a natural space, combined with unnatural space...
