Meh. They should just say nothing at all then, if anything they say is twisted around, or if there is absolutely pointless and stupid disbelief.
And I won't quote any rep here anymore either. So pointless. I'll just count this to the dozen of other threads where you just can't post or read anymore, because it's all just a stupid shit fest anyway. Way to fkn go, KVR Audio.

How can you be offended by user discussions and their experiences? You take such a topic way to serious, Sheriff

Because it's so super f**king dumb to still speculate, when there's even official info from several company reps.

It's Steinberg and they said they're still in the beginning with it.
Because they said "they're aiming for it" or "it's the goal" to not introduce a subscription. This is not a "there will definitely 100% not be a subscription". And as we've seen the main concern was also online connection which has already been -in the same way- confirmed.chk071 wrote: Wed Mar 10, 2021 1:41 pm Because it's so super f**king dumb to still speculate, when there's even official info from several company reps.

How much more definite do you need definite to be?Mathias Quellmann wrote:And again, this is not about forcing anyone into a subscription.

Just saying (without the intention of triggering certain very special users) "not to force anyone" does not mean there will be no subscription model. It only means there will likely be somewhat of an alternative for users of perpetual licenses too. If it still requires online connection (even just from time to time) I'd technically not call it subscription, but it's the same mechanism of asking for permission to use the software.

See that's why I'm done here. No matter what anyone says, it's all lies anyway.
Of course the final implementation could differ in details from what they say now. Things happen. But, it's not really what people claim here. A rep says "There won't be subscription", and the next person here says "I hope there won't be subscription...
". WTF man. I acted like that when I was 6 years old, and didn't believe someone. Not as a 50 or 60 year old music hobbyist, with obviously too much time at hand.
Anyway, for you, I will dig in the Steinberg forums again, and see if I can find a more definite statement. Which you probably will deny again, but, hey... it's not like I have anything better to do. *sigh*

It's just a goal though, so, I bet it will all be totally different once they implement the new system. Hah.Ed Doll wrote:The goal of this project is to replace the old license management system, not to introduce a subscription model replacing perpetual licenses.

This is just one post, there have been others from other reps who also said that there will be no subscription: https://forums.steinberg.net/t/license- ... 701418/129
