you can upgrade to the "new toolbox" by paying 7€ for Professional Toolbox again.
Funny that the upgrade to Ultimate toolbox for me was 8€.
I did the Professional Upgrade and everything went fine for even an Euro less :)

It's part of the toolboxes now, but no, it's not added for free if you've previously bought it. But you save a little extra, because you get a personal upgrade.

I think the filters are really nice, lots of fun.

Continually frustrated by kilohearts thinking it’s ok to just have us load the better filters as effects... put it in the damn generator section! Lol

dang I was 7 hours late. Well, suffice it so say yeah, the subscription is a really good deal. $20 extra per year compared to buying the bundle, unless they release a snapin, then roughly $10 per year extra, unless they release another snapin, then no extra cost... barring black friday sales

AFAIK, if you sub to the bundle it's free, if you bought the bundle you have to buy it but you should get a discount (off of the already discounted price).

This seems to be a very popular request (check out the discord channel!), so I doubt they will just ignore it (the Devs are very active on discord)

I wonder if they will eventually just 'give away' the new filters as part of a PP update (we must be getting close to V2!) or if they will start making 'generators' be available if you have bought the snap (so if you own Ladder and/or Non-Lin you will see it as a snapin and a generator)
X32 and 24C mixers, S88MK3, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6, Pro3, S4, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone, OP1-F, OPXY, TR-1000, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

It's a pretty nice and versatile filter and 19€ (full price) and 7-8€ upgrade price isn't too much to be able to use it as a stand alone and inside snap heap and multipass. I think charging for the filter to be used in the generator section is going to annoy more people than it would benefit, so to me the sensible thing would be to just add the filters to the generator section for free and charge to be able to use it outside that section.

I tend to agree with you- I already own them all just want them adding as generators either way (or something different, but reusing the code seems sensible) :-)

Damn. Kudos to Kilohearts. My main, nitpicky reservation about Phase Plant was that the filters really didn't wow me. The nonlinear filter sounds very, very good to me. Well worth $8

Edit - Cool mechanic with this filter. You can "audition" filter types by clicking the drop down and hovering. Then click away from the drop down menu to remain at the current setting

Noticed that, too. Much appreciated little feature.

I asked Per from Kilohearts for the inclusion of Nonlinear Filter in the generator section of PP and got this reply: "While we didn't plan on it before release, you aren't the only one to suggest it. We will take it under consideration." Sweet.

Sounds promising. I shot them an encouraging message, too, can't hurt.

The filters are really good, but it's just annoying that they are "effect only".

I think this could potentially convert a lot of the former critics.

Edit: tbh I'm surprised that they didn't originally consider it...

It was a no brainer for £6.84. Really like it, just a shame it's not available as a generator. PP isn't my go-to synth so I can work around it for the most part.

Hive is my go-to. It does good VA and good digital/wavetable and I love the workflow/nice QoL details and it's playful nature. It was also the first synth that I really dedicated some time to learn and since I know it well it's the natural choice to reach for first when inspiration hits.
