Nope. :)

Nobody is losing any jobs, this is not a merger.
1. Well they *should* be. Maybe that's part of the issue.

2. Can't tell you how many times I've heard that. All of that.

1. Not really, no. :)

2. Well ok. But eh. :P

I don't think you should worry about this. This was iterated a number of times on a number of different occasions, but subscription and rent-to-own are all considered as additional purchase models, alongside standard perpetual licenses. Also makes sense from userbase perspective - why piss off majority of your users by moving to subs only, when you could offer any purchase method, then people just pick how they really want to purchase something?

Not sure what your position is in all of this Dragon, recently you sound like an official spokesperson of NI more and more?

A lot of other companies had those same options you mention and chose "interesting ways to do it.
Anyway, it's more of a coffin-nail in a package I find no longer that attractive anyway.
A bit like meeting that once-hot person of your youth to find she changed into something you can do without very well and she now trying to sell you insurance contracts... ;-)
Like with Adobe, I'm no longer bothered much with losing their apps - even though they were my mainstays in the past.
Water under the bridge as they say... ;-)

Cheers,

Tom

And man that auto-link-crap is just as totally idiotic as always...

Well that eases my worry some. :D

Worst case scenario, I have two four track machines, a physical drum machine, some mics, a bass, some guitars and pedals. I can still create music.....

The only iZotope app I can't live without is RX whatevernumberwe'recurtentlyat Advanced, as long as that doesn't get absorbed by more marketing BS, let them try to squeeze more money out of a degrading market. And I've stopped wondering about Native Instruments long ago.

And if they fail, they will be replaced. They are incentivised to succeed,
Those with enough stock options to count, mainly got them by developing a history of successful business decisions. A few are just in the right place at the right time, but I wish for good luck to fall on people, rather than bad.

The covid mess is a rats-nest of bad science, bad politics, and evil powergrabs, that destroy small businesses, whose remnants are happily scooped up on the cheap by large ones.

Give me two Pizzerias with equal quality to chose between and I choose the one with nice staff. Familys prefered. Nice staff + great food is what I call "user experience".

NI + Iz know that and many people will get tricked by their "nice mordern guys behaviour". That´s how it is and why I prefer characters over "nice guys" like Jack "Blackrock" Wolfskin.

I hope that people finally get that or suffer the daily consequences in jobs that make them reckless liars.
