Thank you...with my music (good or bad, you'll usually get a story or a journey of some sort)!:)ariston wrote: Wed Mar 10, 2021 6:48 pm Well, here are my impressions: first off, I love it! I'm a big fan of "story music", as long as it's ambiguous enough to let me imagine my own story to it.
Glad it worked for you...that section probably took more time than the more obviously melodic parts! The beginning is that rare breed of good ambient - engaging, with great ebb and flow.
Yay! That was very much the idea! You handled the transitions really well, the guitar and those lovely splashy sounds in the background were a welcome respite after the initial tension.
Later on, you pulled off another miracle: the spoken word and "ethnic" singing worked really well for me, and usually I'm allergic to stuff like that.
I know what you mean...it does have to be used with caution in both cases!
Compare me to anyone you want...I won't ever take offence! Didn't know TH at all and am now busily having a listen...interesting stuff!I don't know if you like comparisons to other artists (usually a touchy subject), but this was like Tim Hecker meets Dead can Dance, which is very cool.
Many thanks again for the detailed response.
