Carrieres, sorry I just read back in the thread a bit and realized I missed your questions.
I updated the web page mistake you found.
Yes Version 3.3 is the latest. The download files say “303” because it is actually “3.03”. I number it that way so when the version goes over 3.09 to 3.10 it is more obvious to correctly see the difference between 3.1=301 and 3.10=310.
No you do not need to request a license when you upgrade nor do you even need to rerun the installer. Once you have a working license Fathom takes care of everything else for you without you having to ping the server. The new version knows what version it is and uses the same software mechanism and code to check your license locally without a ping to the server. So a new version does not change that.
Yes file “303” is the latest version 3.3, see above.
RPH, Yes, I corrected that on the web site.
I fixed the server last night and I just tested it now and it should work fine.
Incidentally, I’m not sure if people have noticed this yet, but the new Settings Upgrade page introduced in version 3.2 I think it was enables you to check your local software version against the server’s latest version without you even having to email me. So you can just check every week or so to make sure. The page is smart enough to know which version and product you need and gives you the direct download link.
It was broken because I forgot to update the server from 3.2 to 3.3 but that is fixed.
So no more emails are necessary for those clever enough to read the manual and use that page to check their versions.
3.3 will be the last version for a couple months since I am now starting on the NVIDIA GPU processing and that will take a while. This will be the holy grail of audio processing and I think Fathom will be the only synth to have it. But it will take some heavy duty software work to get it working. The concept is solid because I have it working great on my Video Card in my test version of Fathom. But I need to come up with an algorithm for randomly fluctuating the individual partials on the Video Card and that will take some work. This will enable real Analog emulation and might even push Fathom into the Dune 3 territory for audio quality. But we’ll see.

I definitely struggled with this too - Downloaded the various versions in the Update page and was able to unlock them but obviously none had the Vector version. Was by complete chance that I thought: 'maybe I need to go to the shop and re-buy the update for the 5 dollars....'RPH wrote: Sat Mar 13, 2021 12:20 pm I found that confusing as well, especially me having the vector version which is not listed there.
Paid the 5 dollar update fee and got the correct update file.
The UI could possibly still do with a little more tweaking:
On the bar at the top I'm not sure why there's two 'settings' buttons and two of the circle icons that toggle between 'Loading Primary Color Theme' and 'Loading Auxiliary Color Theme' (I'm not 100% sure what this does as there doesn't appear to have any visible effect !). Maybe with the space gone from those two repeated buttons you could move the 'Browser' button up by the other preset related buttons.
(optional via the settings) Tool tips I think would help new users too - The down arrow for load and up arrow for save in the top bar for example isn't entirely obvious until you just click them out of curiosity.
The browser UI behaviour is a little quirky too: If you click a value in the 'Folder' and 'Type' column it selects that item, but if you click on the value in 'Category' 'Name' 'Author' 'Comments' column then gives you the option to rename the value of that item. Maybe a right click and/or long mouse press for renaming and a quick left click for selecting?

I just upgraded a few days ago and downloaded latest upgrade 3.03 and ended up with version 3.2.0.13. I also tried the alternate build and the link from the e-mail I got. Still not getting 3.3. I'm feeling pretty lame about now!

The Settings Upgrade page should give you the download for Vector if that is what your license for.
If you are on Mac the Mac 3.3 release is not out yet. Killmaster are you on Windows or Mac.
I'm not sure why it is not working for you, I'll try it myself today and see.

Running Fathom Pro AVX 3.2 and the settings upgrade page links me to the new Fathom Pro AVX 3.3 version.
I also have a copy of the standard non-AVX Fathom Pro installed, updated it to 3.3 from the web page. Checked that in settings, and it says I have the latest version. No mention of AVX with this one.
So you would need to launch the update check from an AVX version to see the update link for that one if you need it ...

Hi guys, I just saw the "animation frames per second" option inside the interface tab, but it does not work for me. I can't go above 20, do you have the same problem? I'm on Windows 10, Fl Studio 20. Oh and I just updated to Fathom Pro AVX2 3.3.0.32, I don't know if the problem was there before, never played with this option.

If you're referring to the notarization requirement, it's not strictly necessary as there are workarounds the user can deploy. I switched off the notorization check on my machine so it's not an issue for me.FathomSynth wrote: Sat Mar 13, 2021 2:57 am Normally I have a strict policy of not saying anything bad about companies. But their decision was so obvious, flagrant, intentional, premediated, aggressive, ubiquitous and callous that I think it is safe to say they would actually be quite proud of what I just said. It would be like saying if a former friend locks you out of their house that they would mind you saying they don't like you when that was obviously the exact point of what they did.
It's pretty clear then when you intentionally disable the software of literally every independent developer on the planet unless they go through your private training program that you are no longer running an operating system but a club.

Yes, Apple notarization checks are definitely bypass-able. I put all the known bypass techniques on the web site buy page and also in the user manual. So far every Mac user who reported it has found at least one that works. Also works for other plugins.
Fathom Mac OSX 3.3 is not out yet. The latest Mac release is 3.2 still.
I see what you mean about animation frames the comment says 1-64 but the edit box only allows up to 20. I will have to fix that in the next release.
OK I just tested the Settings Upgrade page myself. If you run Fathom Pro 3.2 and you have a license for it then you hit “Check for Updates” it pings the server and then tells you that you need 3.3 and it gives you the right download link for Fathom Pro 3.3.
If you run Fathom Vector 3.2 and you have a license for it then you hit the same button and it pings the server and the server tells you that you need 3.3 it it gives you the right download link for Fathom Vector 3.3.
Then I pasted the download links into chrome and downloaded both of them and unzipped then. Then I ran the plugins from the zip and double checked the versions and features and they are correct.
So everything is running exactly as designed for that Settings Upgrade feature.
I’m not sure what is going wrong for you. Maybe provide more details and a screen shot.

An updated installer with a button to skip the request or a text explaining we don't need to make it twice and a close button would be awesome.
The installer duplicated every folder :

Ok, thanks! I didn't realize that you could check for updates like that in the synth. Great. Also, I didn't know there was an installer. I've been installing manually.FathomSynth wrote: Sat Mar 13, 2021 6:25 pm I’m not sure what is going wrong for you. Maybe provide more details and a screen shot.

Yes, the installer won't over-write your existing folders as a safety precaution not to delete users presets and modulators if they changed things. If you always want new stuff you can delete them first.
Manual installs are OK. I use manual myself. The installer is mostly for first time users and is necessary for first getting your license approved.

Hey guys,
for those interested i made a video walking through some of the aspects of the new GUI designer. Hopefully it will open discussion on the things I am obviously still ignorant on. For example. I am still not really sure what is happening with Save and Load colors.
