FL Stuido - Beatslicer and ASIO

When i work with Fruity Slicer sometimes i need to slice something more

So i click "Open Beatslicer" and problem is that i can not hear any audio playing. And in Beatslicer audio preferences i dont have any audio device to choose

My FL is set to release ASIO in background but still i cant do this

So is it a bug, or my drivers are bad for Beatslicer or BeatSlicer does not support ASIO

what kind of audio card do you have?

Well Terratec Phase 26 USB.

Can work in Cubase, Reason and FL without any kind of audio errors and with pretty good latency too (7ms)


But cant get any audio from BeatSlicer

you are experiencing my biggest gripe with terratec. Their drivers are not multiclient. It means that only one app can access the driver at once. however you mentioned that you have Autoclose device checked(which worked when I had a DMX 6 fire) all I can think of is that when you open beatslicer, FL thinks its part of FL and doesnt close the device.

I eventually gave up and sold my DMX and moved to a Edirol UA-1000.

Terratec markets themselves as at least prosumer level audio cards, yet they dont allow multiclient access to their cards. I think that is just ridiculous...

Is ASIO multi-client?

I have a hammerfall that says it has ASIO drivers and multi-client mme drivers.

I couldn't figure out how to use beatcreator/beatslicer other than to wire up my mobo's built in sound card for those duties.

So now I can use beatcreator in Live 4.0.4 and hear what I'm doing.

Course you gotta have a spare input on your mixer to do something like this.

No no...dont know for yopu but i can work in ASIO mode with two apps running. For example i can run FL and Reason at once. Switching between them etc.

I dont have any problems at all, just this stupid issue.

Hmmm...maybe today is a day when i will enable Audio on my MOBO
