I use Transgressor all the time. One of my go-to plugins for drums actually. Yes, its modus operandi is "monkey see monkey do", but I actually find it useful. Typically I will set the level so only the hardest hits will trigger it, and it can add a ton of punch and brightness.

I'd say, it's more useful on electronic material. Transgressor 2's greatest shortcoming is it being threshold based (as opposed to dynamics based);

It’s both ? The threshold works in conjunction with the dynamics based transient detection.

Yeah, I think we had different experiences. I think the easy way to tell is to engage and disengage the soft/hard switch with multiple transients and only a single transient above the threshold - i think nvelope is definitely easier to use as a dial in option -- but there's a lot of customisation in the transgressor.

Unfurtunately, as I said, I can't demo for now, and maybe not before the end of the sale.
But with this low price, I can't be wrong, I guess
I think it's the first time that the price is that low, usually it's about 29$ (I don't see lower price, but I did not search everywhere).
I checked the Eventide Physion, such a crazy plugin yes. Maybe on an eventual future sale...
