The developer stated that the Terracota: Mirage is available with their own AU/VST plugin engine which is Universal 2 Binary. No demo to verify thought.

thanks for pointing that out.
If it's not silicon - why is it on the list?
The demo at least isn't silicon and I almost bought LOC-NESS seeing it on this list (and the fact that it's on sale)

Post

I tried locness two days ago and it's definitely not native, it loads in AuHostingCompatibilityService and ArciChect says no Apple Silicon binaries.
Also, it's not even Retina ready.

Klevgrand has made Svep native M1 compatible:

Svep v1.0.3

macOS binaries supports ARM (M1) CPU natively
Signatures are so early 2000s.

That makes no sense whatsoever. Kontakt instruments are written in KSP and compiled to an intermediate byte code which runs on the Kontakt engine. They are cross-platform by nature, in the same sense that a Java JAR file is cross-platform. There is no such thing as a UB2 Kontakt instrument.

Ah, that makes more sense. Well, when he posts to his blog or updates the specs, I'll add it.

Update: After checking on my M1 machine, Deleight does run natively as ARM, but appears as incompatible with Apple Silicon on archiCheq (weird!) https://i.imgur.com/SkAw6x4.png Apologies about this mistake.

On the bright side, A.O.M. has updated all their plugins with real Apple Silicon compatibility at KVR database (verified as U2B ARM/x86 for AU/VST/VST3 and x86 for AAX). They were on this thread first post already.

I'm sure this is not completely intentional in many cases. Have you guys attempted to contact such manufacturers? It could be an honest mistake during compilation.

Post

Running file on the binaries shows an arm64 architecture in the Deleight plugins. I don't have a M1 Mac here to see if they actually run native.

As fgimian suggested it may be a compilation error. Running codesign on the binaries only shows the intel architecture as per the app you're using. Presumably only the intel architecture is being codesigned and not both.

Lemme know when IK makes the list, sometime in 2024, ok?

straight from the KVR news tab:
„All Sugar Bytes plug-ins have been updated.“

(didn‘t verify as they’re not my cup of tea but their changelogs claim „Native Apple Silicon Support“)
