I wouldn't say I need it, but, it would probably be a good idea for futureproofe-ness. Who knows if DAWs won't pull the plug on VST2 one day. Cubase will probably be the first to do so, and, as you say, VST2 will probably be good for years to come, but, new developers already can't develop VST2 anymore, unless they use some framework which still licenses it (I think), so...

Id prefer a VST3 version, I find they load quicker in Cubase and will be future proofed when VST2 goes down the swanny.graywolf2004 wrote: Mon Mar 15, 2021 12:58 pm Hi all Sorry for checking this thread rarely. I didn't abandon the plugin development, just was more focused on the hardware for several months. But anyway there are some new features, the best of them is the improved chord recognition and chord-derived scales (made in collaboration with phreaque) which will allow to use bluearp pretty much like arrangers. I hope to post an update in a few weeks.
A quick question for all of you - does anyone need vst3 version of bluearp? Last weekend I was reorganizing my projects and found out that it already works (with a few fixes I made). For me, vst2 is good for years to come, but maybe I'm issing something and anyone desperately needs bluearp as a vst3?
Don't trust those with words of weakness, they are the most aggressive

Yeah, same. Don't need VST3. Might not even use it. But it doesn't hurt to have it as an option.

In theory I am interested in the H/W unit, but I don't know enough about it. Is there a website to look at the capabilities/features etc?phreaque wrote: Mon Dec 21, 2020 4:08 pmGood idea too, and yes the h/w development is owned & maintained by Graywolf totally.WatchTheGuitar wrote: Mon Dec 21, 2020 3:50 pmI am considering buying the hardware version if/when it gets released provided it's not priced too high for my wallet. I assume he would see some of that money, but please correct me if I'm wrong.phreaque wrote: Mon Dec 21, 2020 11:29 am let's consider donating to Graywolf to encourage him improving this innovative tool![]()
If you're interested in the h/w unit, the public release will be hopefully in Summer 2021, however you can send me a PM or email with the request and I will forward it to Oleg, since he's extremely busy lately.. Sure you can just skip and email him directly.![]()

My vote is for VST3 editions only, FX and instruments, if there is a choice... from since two or three years back...graywolf2004 wrote: Mon Mar 15, 2021 12:58 pm A quick question for all of you - does anyone need vst3 version of bluearp? Hi, I'm not sure if this is the place to put this but I'm really struggling with an issue I have with this working with Mixcraft 9.
It seems that no matter what I select, the chord is always played. I've even set the first note to be muted and it still plays.
I've captured my desktop which I thought might help - can anyone see what I'm doing wrong??!?
Thanks in advance.

I'm not familiar at all with Mixcraft, but apparently the banjo track is getting two Midi inputs, 1st from the piano roll / chord track? (really not sure what these are called), and 2nd is from BlueARP itself.JTJ wrote: Tue Mar 16, 2021 9:54 pm Hi, I'm not sure if this is the place to put this but I'm really struggling with an issue I have with this working with Mixcraft 9.

You will need to make that banjo track to receive Midi input coming from BlueARP output only. If Mixcraft allows routing internal Midi in/outs, I guess this can be done

Ah cool! Nice to see such immediate response from Acoustica teamJTJ wrote: Wed Mar 17, 2021 5:36 pm Thanks for this. I asked on the Acoustica forum (makers of Mixcraft) and they have confirmed it is an issue with the DAW.
I really appreciate your help, thanks again.

I know that this post is kind of old, and you're not a super fan of the ideagraywolf2004 wrote: Thu Jan 31, 2019 7:53 amThere wasn't such a feature request before. To be honest with you, it's unlikely I will add that. Firstly, I don't see much sonic use of such a feature. If you give me good musical example of such arping, I will maybe change my mind (or describe your use-case scenario in more details). Myself - I rarely go beyond 4 keys.kbostroem wrote: Wed Jan 30, 2019 10:21 pm Hi there,
I have an overwhelming desire to sequence more pressed keys then just k1..k5. More precisely I would love to use k6..k8. Is this already possible or is this a missing feature? If so, would it be a bad idea to not include it in a future update?
Best
Kim
PS: Is this the right forum and topic to post such stupid questions that might be disguised feature requests? I'm a bit lost in view of these 96 pages...
Secondly, there are some technical limitations. Since key select lane is polyphonic, I store it as a bit-matrix, 1 byte per step, 8 values max (now I have 7 bits - k1-k5, Fix, Root, only 1 bit extra left). So maximum I can add without big changes is k6, which won't make you happy anyway.
