Voice extraction from a song? (yes, I know, not easy...)

Hello,

Is there any plugin that would somewhat work in advanced voice extraction nowadays please?

The thing is : I need to extract a vocal only for demo purposes.

I know that I'm going to obtain something barely usable. All I need is something that can show the voice placement, quality is not what matters.

Before you ask : no, the instrumental version of the song I need to extract the voice from can't be found. Well, actually there's one, but for some reason the tempo doesn't follow the vocal version, so I can't use the classic substraction method.

what you are looking for is spectral analysis, and celemony melodyne was probably the first popular software to make use of it. steinburg has a popular one rn.

There’s a ZPlane plugin that isolates audio, but you must check DAW compatibility:

I'm not sure how the demos for Steinberg's Spectral Layers are set up. If you are a Cubase user it has a stripped down version already within it that splits out vocals from full mixes.

Thank you very much for all these suggestions. I've tried the easiest first, which is https://www.lalal.ai, and the result is absolutely amazing. Strictly NO residual noise or instruments, the sound is not lo-fi as I expected, but it's still kind of "abrupt", like there is a noise gate, as every low volume is cut out. But I must say this could work for what I'm trying to do (actually I'm waiting for the definitive acapella, I'm just demoing the project).

Tonight I'll try Spleeter, as it's also free, but it needs a tutorial to get how to use it.

I'm indeed a Cubase user. I'll try everything and keep the best. Thank you again.

Izotope RX8's Rebalance function can be stretched up to isolate vocals. Won't be perfect, but it's often pretty usable.
