Studio One can route 6 chanels to a track?

Coming from Cubase Im starting to try Studio One, but one thing that I need is to route 6 chanels (exaphonic guitar pickup) to a single track in order to process the six strings in one place (using patchwork or other vst host and running zebrify and/or other processor).
Cubase and Cantabile can do that, but Im trying in Studio one but I only see mono or stereo input routing to a track?

Depending on your specific needs, routing the 6 channels to a single bus would allow you to process the incoming audio on the bus.

Buses will be summed to stereo. Sounds like your workflow is similar to using ambisonic microphones, which don’t work very well in Studio One. A channel in Studio One can only be mono or stereo. You’ll probably have to have 6 separate channels with separate instances of your inserts grouped with each other.

At least two ways I can think of, depending on your preference:

Select all tracks -> right click -> add bus and then put all of your processing on the bus channel. Notice the bus channel only appears in the Console but not in the Arranger, because it's a channel and not a track (that's an important distinction in Studio One: "channel" is how audio goes out of Studio One, "track" is where you put MIDI, audio and automation that generate the sound):

2nd approach - my personal favourite - is you select tracks -> right click -> pack folder and then in Track Inspector panel you add a bus to that folder. This creates a very nice and tidy folder with overview of its content in the Arranger and a bus channel in Console that you can collapse to hide the details. Obviously in this case as well you put your effects on the bus channel:

Thank you very much for the contributions.
Adding to a bus or packing does not solve the problem for me, I need all 6 signal inputs to go into a single track where I can use Patchwork to process the whole.
I could split the signal into 3 stereo tracks but I dont want that, I have already made my "exaphonic" presets within a single Patchwork instance that I can freely move to Cubase or Cantabile with no problem.
It is a pity that S1 does not allow this routing, Cubase, Cantabile, Patchwork allow it (Im sure many others), it is clearly a lack of S1.

I'm not sure that it can't. Perhaps it can't in exactly the same way as Cubase, but I think it's the end result that matters, right?

I understand you have 6 inputs that you see in S1 Console's input section, then just send them to 6 channels, send those to bus (like I explained) and put Patchwork on it.

Doesn't that solve the problem?

Cubase allow to route 6 audio hardware signals to a single track. It allows 5.1 or 6.0 routings.
The bus you mention would allow to process the 6 signals separately or it would sum to stereo? If it sums to stereo then it’s not ok for my purposes.

Yeah, it would sum to stereo.

You're right - S1 doesn't support audio channels other than Mono and Stereo :(

What’s the difference if you sum on input or output? Not quite as convenient recording to six tracks, but it allows deeper editing. Why have six outputs then just treat them as one?

I don't work with hexaphonic pickups but I can tell you why this is un-usable for my Ambisonic microphone.

An ambisonic microphone has four capsules and uses a de-coder to give a particular "representation" of a sound. In a studio use that means you can widen or narrow your microphones pattern as needed or rotate it after the fact. Neat! In VR it's usually used to approximate a stereo microphone that turns around as the user's head does.

The plugin is designed to receive a Surround track with the first four channels as the four capsules. Then it decodes it and outputs a mono or stereo signal.

Summing four capsules on input will obviously not decode correctly. It would defeat the purpose.

With exaphonic processing you can process every guitar string freely so you can create a lot of different things in real-time. Lately I’m using Zebrify which makes an amazing MONO guitar synth so you need to use 6 instances to have a full polyphonic synth.
That freedom and processing capabilities is what I want to do.
It’s the same or similar necessity that with the ambisonic mics. I can’t understand why S1 has not it implemented being so powerful.

There is a way to make a request to the developers that could have any hope?
