this might be a stupid question ... should i cover my keyboard when im not using it to prevent dust acumulating under the keys ... sometimes i dont use it for 2 or 3 days ...

yes, your capslock key is, ehrm... locked

It definitely can't hurt. And if you have a vacuum with a soft brush attachment, vacuuming out the keys, around the buttons and sliders and anywhere else dust accumulates once or twice a year helps maintain the unit. Now seriously, this is not really needed unless your room is very dusty. But that is worse for your own health and your computers than for the keyboard.
A dust cover won't ever hurt, but factor in that salespeople might like to sell you something extra. I have opened up many keyboards that sat there unused many years. Yes there was some gathering of dust, but no it did not get in the way of the contacts.
When in doubt: consult the manual of your keyboard. What does it say about the subject?

thanks for reply , i had a kawai k11 for 12 years never cleaned it so it started to fail to make contact when pressing a couple of keys ... i guess after 12 years its time to get a knew keyboard anywayplanetearth wrote: Fri Mar 19, 2021 7:50 amIt definitely can't hurt.
