The Fixed Filter Bank took over a year to develop. And thanks to Ehsan Gelsi, who has a Moog System 55, helped us move a notch further in modeling the Moog inductor 914FFB. Finding a Moog inductor 914 is a rarity. Major work and analysis was done at http://analoguerealities.com/my-studio/aMUSEd wrote: Mon Mar 15, 2021 2:06 pmWith no discernible development as well - just splitting off and developing things that should have been in P900 (eg fixed filter bank was longstanding feature request)sqigls wrote: Mon Mar 15, 2021 11:50 am the 900 sound is amazing too. and if the new mob had've just left the price where it was, they would be selling a lot more. 6 different 914 clones were used for analysis and behavior.
Once you go over 2-3 months to develop a plugin, this stops to be a business model and goes into the territory of artistry and passion.
Do you know how many years P900 took to develop? Do you know how many copies were sold?
It is funny how we are in an industry where SOUND is in its essence and money is spent generously. But when it comes to plugins, PRICE comes first. I, too, would only buy plugins when they are 50% off or more (Black Friday, New Year, Thanksgiving etc..) but then go and buy a Lynx Hilo sound interface for $2500. So I don’t blame users not buying our products. I would not buy them either, UNLESS I have reached a point in my production where I can hear a sonic difference and advantage in using such plugins/tools.
Meanwhile, I am saving some money to buy
