Hello,
I’m noticing disperser can make the sound more analog & full, specially bass.
Some analog synthesizers eg. produce the same behavior as disperser.
Tone2 explains such disperse effect as
analog character.
You find this info at here:
https://www.tone2.com/akustix.html
Just scroll down at the “Phase enhance” feature
Is this right?

Disperser is a simple all pass filter as far as I know. https://www.uaudio.com/blog/allpass-filters/
I imagine the effect within Tone2 Akustix is the same. I wouldn't always call this effect an "enhancement" but it can certainly sound pleasing on some sources - like synth bass for example.

I wish that the disperser would replicate some of the analog character may be someandymcbain wrote: Fri Mar 19, 2021 12:29 pm Disperser is a simple all pass filter as far as I know. https://www.uaudio.com/blog/allpass-filters/

circuits at least. but theoretically I guess not.
since as mentioned in the uaudio article it's only applied
to broadcast & Studio Monitors where it might reduce peaks by few DB's.
but I do feel some analog synths having this sort of effect or something like comb filter
or smearing effect, maybe because of the synthesizer's circuits feedback.
Anyway thanks for your support appreciate your info.

Dynamic though, which is what makes it meld so well to sources.

Kilohearts plugins/snap-ins generally do one thing and one thing very well. They're intended to be combined in Snapheap/Multipass/your DAW, though some are among best-in-class.horizon7 wrote: Sun Mar 21, 2021 6:01 pm I wish that the disperser would replicate some of the analog character may be some

They recently released Nonlinear Filter, but analog filters inherently have those characteristics. There's nothing like Disperser before so I wouldn't expect analog modelling on it.
You can always give it analog-style input or put the Distortion (multi-model), Phase Distortion, and/or Faturator (Fuzz) snap-ins after it. You can also use Ladder Filter with the cutoff fully open, Saturate turned on, and Transistor or Diode models.

Actually The snapping delay in kHs have basic settings It doesn’t give lot of variations Eg. A stereo variations are weak & the feedback sounding is very basic it tend to have weak fade amount.
The ping pong mode needs to be more focused L & R instead of tweaking the pan. I have to combine more than one delay maybe 4 or more to build effective one.
That would be great if they add 2nd model of the delay with additional properties. Snapping Reverb also needs enhancements it sounds basic with metallic artifacts on most materials, specially when you place the reverb before a chorus or delay which expose the metallic artifacts even more.
Current snapping reverb needs a secondary chorus algorithms to lush up those metallic artifacts with more depth & stereo spread algorithms typical to Valhalla Room VST which is extremely lush.
I know that kHs snapping models are build to be Simple & combined together but a good delay & reverb are essential they effectively impact the sound design quality.
So a second one might be more focused with more results with 2 or 3 more features.
I guess they might build a new one that is dedicated for room or a convoluted version with lusher results. The Current delay & reverb definitely needs improvements.
But the whole idea behind snapping is great. I like it’s modularity system.
