If I select to open a patch I then need to double click on the patch from the browser to select it and load it. It’s a pain. Single click does nothing and never has unless I’m missing something from 20 years of using reason. This is the same behaviour on the Mack and pc.
Scrolling through patches on a device obviously only needs a single click.

you can drag and drop them onto the device without it making a new one or if you want to replace the device with a different one you can do the same thingbangaio wrote: Mon Mar 15, 2021 3:57 pm If I select to open a patch I then need to double click on the patch from the browser to select it and load it. Thanks God you don't have to bring the synth up to the studio from your basement, connect it to power, computer and the mixer and then carefully set all the knobs & sliders to the right positions

I know that but what a horrid workflow when you want to scroll through patches.

No DAW is for you if this is a problem since most people consider drag and drop easy.
Also if you didn't know, there's an up and down arrow on most devices that will allow you to "scroll" though presets

I honestly think you're doing something wrong. When you click that "folder" icon on a device it gets an orange frame that's repeated in Browser - this means you can go up/down the list with your keyboard and don't even have to press Enter to load the preset.bangaio wrote: Mon Mar 15, 2021 4:41 pmI know that but what a horrid workflow when you want to scroll through patches.
I'm 99% sure that when above is the case (Browser is "linked" to device), you only need to (single!) click on a preset to audition it, but then obviously double-click to load it.
Looks I was wrong about this ^^^.
Still, I almost always use up/down keys.

Yep, load a patch with the folder icon, then use arrow key to audition patches. Easy peasy. Also will auto load different synths if you are browsing a list of presets from multiple devices (like the reason sounds folder) Also used to audition samples quickly.

Ach well it is just me then = I hadn't used the arrow keys before this is better but the browser is pretty rubbish. As for using the up down arrows on a device this would be fine if they were in the same place but you click down, move the pointer to the new location on the new device, click down, repeat. Again this isn't laziness its just poor design.

I come across a crossroads.
I have reason suite now.
But there's several items from the rack extension store I want.
Noticed they all can be added to the build your own bundle subscription plan and can get like $3000 worth of extensions for $29/mo.
But funny bit is that you can add the new synths into the plans.
So it makes me wonder just how worth it is it for reason + if the only thing is having presets every week...
Currently in the bundle sub I added
Obsession
The Legend
Antidote
Sinesynth
Rob Papen Go2
And a number of other stuff ranging from random generators, better equalizers, filters, other modeled synths ect.
All this and I'm still waaay under the $3000 limit.
So does that make Reason+ just a soundpack subscription for people who already have suite?

in a way you are right, but reason+ users, get also the reason 12, for instance, or get, they get access to it. reason+ the only the thing you get, are the soundpacks i believe. if you stop the subscription.MuzikFreq wrote: Mon Mar 22, 2021 5:03 am I come across a crossroads.

Remember that Reason+ ALSO inculdes the most up-to-date version of Reason DAW and Rack Plugin, so there's no upgrade cost involved going forward - you're always on current version. You could sell your Suite right now and fund 1-1.5 years of Reason+ with that.MuzikFreq wrote: Mon Mar 22, 2021 5:03 amSo does that make Reason+ just a soundpack subscription for people who already have suite?

yes you can do that, but you loose an investment. reason 11 suite works... also over 2 years.. no costs.. (yes the cost of acquiring the suite, depending on what you had before.).antic604 wrote: Mon Mar 22, 2021 7:46 amRemember that Reason+ ALSO inculdes the most up-to-date version of Reason DAW and Rack Plugin, so there's no upgrade cost involved going forward - you're always on current version. i think it is very personal choice, i do not think that is for all. to sell suite and fund reason+ for 1 year.
but i must admit, i am not fond of subscriptions, so...
on the other end, of cours it depends on when reason 12 comes out, the investment you make, is for making music.. so, the math, is very personal i believe.
