I want to purchase Studio One 5 coming from Cubase 10 pro, so Im searching for the best price or moment to do it.
I see Presonus seems to do several sales per year at least in 2020 so I will wait for the next one.
What do you think is the price I can expect more or less if crossgrading from Cubase 10 pro?

When I first bought S1 I bought it in a crossgrade deal going from Logic. The lowest I've seen an S1 cross grade deal is about $100 off the actual price. So it should be $299.

Thats the normal crossgrade price AFAIK.
If i recall correctly in november there were sales at 33% and 50%, not sure if that was aplicable to the crossgrades, thats why Im asking.

I believe it's one or the other not both at the same time. If you are getting 50% off that's already $199. The cross grade pricing pretty never changes as far as I'm aware.

$199 is probably about as low as it goes, e.g. back in September 2020:

The crossgrade price is valid for Steinberg Cubase 9+, Pro Tools 11, Logic Pro 9, Reason 10+, FL Studio 12+, Bitwig 2… , etc. users. Please check the deal page for the entire list. So you can enjoy the latest Studio One 5 Professional version for only 199 €.
Take a single oscillator, producing a drone. Send it to the wave shaper, altering the tone.
This can be a triangle, Sawtooth or a square. Modulate the pulse width, nobody will care

Yeah, guess that's as good as it gets, with 50% off.

Exactly!
Last September I could crossgrade (from any DAW) for $199 from PluginBoutique:

I did it from Reaper 5 (the only full version I had that time).
It is now $299, but maybe you should check it from time to time!
Using: Cubase Pro 15, Reason 13, Tascam US-4x4HR, MODX6, DM12D, LaunchKey 49, Yamaha guitar(Pacifica 612v) and bass (BB234) and some virtual instruments and synths.

Look for 2nd hand license.
You can often find recent Pro version around $150.

There will be some signs of wear and tear though, and some rusty parts. ;)

The most common issue is missing Melodyne license, though ;)

Is the Melodyne license excluded from the license transfer?

Hmm... that's bad... at least when you need it.

It's included with original S1 purchase, but if previous owner registered the code they received to their Celemony account, then it's up to them to transfer that too to the buyer. Most don't do it. Luckily it turned out I had one from iZotope :D

Hmmm good to know that about Melodyne. 🧐
I have a question In those sale periods it’s possible to have in addition the ā€œforumā€ discount in Jrrshop?

Post

Yes, it worked in most cases for me. Can't say for sure if it will work in your case as well though.
