Hey everyone, the Bob Moog Tribute library for Omnisphere is 10 years old today, where did that time go. To celebrate Eric Persing and co have given us 500 new sounds to play with in an update. To get yours head on over to the Spectrasonics website.
This video gives you a little taste of what you are going to get -

I understand that the Spectrasonics model is not for all.
But when stuff like this or with Trilian happens, that is 10 years later you are still getting new content without additional charges. I continue to give my hat off to them.
Kudos.

I have never stopped using or enjoying Omnisphere (with Trillian and Keyscape) and it just keep getting better. The best virtual instrument I have ever purchased.

X32 and 24C mixers, S88MK3, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6, Pro3, S4, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone, OP1-F, OPXY, TR-1000, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

I totally agree with you, the only Spectrasonics plugin I don't use anymore or not that often is Stylus Rmx.SLiC wrote: Wed Mar 24, 2021 7:13 pm I have never stopped using or enjoying Omnisphere (with Trillian and Keyscape) and it just keep getting better. Thanks for the update.
Although I find it disconcerting that Spectrasonics could seemingly only find one female sound designer in that huge list - especially considering the subject of the update and how active women are in the field of modular synthesis in particular

What I find disconcerting is that there are no Bob Moog Tribute presets for Trilian. Seems bizarre.
This is the same method MJ used when he was working on Anthony Marinelli's Thriller.

There are some really cool patches, then I have not even gone thru 10% yet, an awesome free update for exciting Bob Moog library users.

Bob Moog library is A fantastic library still today but depends on your taste in sounds I guess.simmo75 wrote: Thu Mar 25, 2021 4:31 pm How relevant is the pack today, is it still worth buying or out of date?

I'm always looking for forward thinking sound/design, 80's sounds are not my thing.

That's something you need to decide for yourself. The OP's video goes through some of the sounds, and you can hear more at:simmo75 wrote: Thu Mar 25, 2021 4:47 pmI'm always looking for forward thinking sound/design, 80's sounds are not my thing.

I'm not sure how synth patches for Omnisphere can be out of date?simmo75 wrote: Thu Mar 25, 2021 4:31 pm How relevant is the pack today, is it still worth buying or out of date?
If it helps, contributing sound designers include....
Hans Zimmer | Vince Clarke (Erasure/Depeche Mode) | Jean Michel Jarre | The Crystal Method | Jordan Rudess | Money Mark (Beastie Boys/Beck)
Bernie Worrell (P-Funk/Talking Heads) | Larry Fast (Peter Gabriel/Synergy) | Roger Joseph Manning Jr. (Air/Fiona Apple) | Ryuichi Sakamoto (YMO)
Morgan Page (Madonna/Katy Perry) | Keith Shocklee (Bomb Squad/Public Enemy) | Steve Porcaro (Toto) | Fredwreck (Snoop Dogg/50 Cent)
Jan Hammer (Jeff Beck/Mahavishnu Orchestra) | Danny Elfman | Michael Boddicker (Michael Jackson) | Richard Devine (Schematic/Warp)
Patrick Moraz (Yes/Moody Blues) | Eddie Jobson (UK/Roxy Music) | Diego Stocco | The Moog Cookbook | ...and many more!
Anyway, you can hear them in the demo and 100% of the money goes to charity (Bob Moog Foundation) so you can't go wrong really.
