Inspired by the DP/4 thread, let's go in a different direction. What are some of the crappiest/weirdly obscure/lowest budget/easy to buy multi-fx boxes from the 80s and 90s that nobody has ever emulated, but, even though they're crappy and/or super cheap, you'd still wish someone would do it for whatever reasons.

I'll start: The Digitech GSP-5. Go on, tell me I'm wrong, I can handle it. Also, I don't "know" if there has been an attempt at emulation, I just don't think that it has. Oh to reminisce about the days of hard rock cover bands, salty barmaids, and soggy beer.

There was reverb on the zoom 1202 (solo?) which I remember fondly, a thick, rich verb great for ambient guitar malarky. Maybe I could easily emulate it with today's plugs if I still had one to AB but don't feel I've ever come across anything that really nails it from memory.

This isn't Hooters, rack not required.

Don't miss the sounds but the pressure pedal on my ax30g was good fun. Not sure anyone makes anything similar, much more expressive than a pedal.

not from the 80's or90's and not even specifically an FX unit, and i don't even wish for these anymore, but at one point i wished for the crappy Machinedrum FX in VST form, which surely have to be on eye level with the worst, maybe even setting a new benchmark in these regards.

I generally don't wish for any hardware emulations anymore, be it high- or low end as software has long become great enough on it's own (and of course crappy enough too, if one desires)
The GAS is always greener on the other side!

I had an ART Multiverb II (or, maybe it was a III?) in my rack back in the 90s that was cheap, noisy af, and sounded about as ugly as it looked. But, it had a few patches that sounded great on our female lead singer's voice. Tone2 Warmverb always reminded me of those patches (but without the added noise floor flavoring). I'd buy that Multiverb emulation just for the nostalgia, if it was cheap enough and had the same fugly pink/black GUI.

ill give the korg it's dues, it may sound shite, but it still works like the day it was purchased :o

tbh the delays and reverbs aren't horrible, not amazing but definitely usable.
but that distortion was criminal!

Right? How on earth did we get sucked in? I had a peavey profex II at one point and I remember when I bought it that I thought it sounded "alive." My words at the time, go on and laugh at my expense. I quickly grew tired of the distortion, however, I still found the box useful as it was one of the few at the time that had a flexible algorithm so that you could rearrange blocks. It also had a loop that you could put anywhere so I coupled it with a jackson tube pre. That reverb though, talk about metallic. At some point I added a Digitech 256xl just for the "Ultimate Reverb." So ultimate! This was solidly in my "rack" phase and it took at least four trips to get into the gig. Although I missed my "Black Magic Woman solo patch," it wasn't long after that I gave up an instituted the one trip rule for gigs. Combo in one hand, guitar in the other, TS808 and delay in the guitar case, nothing else. If it didn't fit in the guitar case or the back of the amp, I didn't need it.

that last bit isn't even a joke!
there was a cute, goth chick working in the store. i didn't have the balls to ask her name, let alone ask her out :o (have never in my life asked a girl out) and the only way i knew to see her, was spending cash on things i didn't need
drum sticks was a regular one, because i could spin one on my fingers.

This explains why Kaitlin was always winning those sales awards. I guess she knew... wait for it... how to sell the rack gear.

Did you make a proper orgasm-face while soloing?
