Thank you for the patience.Yes ,I have done that, unplug and reconnect, switch on and off since it gets power from usb cable.Watchful wrote: Wed Mar 24, 2021 4:32 pm Just to be certain, this issue seems to be with USB: it's not a problem with the Oxygen Pro or Waveform. If you haven't, please unplug and reconnect its USB cable, or--if it's running through a USB hub--power cycle the hub. If you have done this, I apologize for repeating myself.
It seems Waveform can not support Oxygen Pro 25 MIDI controller?

Thanks. I am a beginner and the Oxygen Pro 25 is my first full size(key) MIDI controllers, it never works. I also have a Seaboard Block and it works well. But the Oxygen Pro 25 works well with Bitwig another DAW softwarepough wrote: Wed Mar 24, 2021 5:17 pm Sometimes I've had MIDI controllers show up in the Settings but not as a choice in for the track inputs. In some cases, closing and re-opening the edit has fixed it. A full reboot might fix the problem if that doesn't.
Is this a new controller or have you already been using it before this? As in, did it never work or has it stopped working?

Thanks. I am a beginner. I am not sure I can understand your advise. But the Oxygen 25 works well with Bitwig and Equator or Melodics. And Seaboard Block works well with Waveform by just plugging it.Peter Widdicombe wrote: Wed Mar 24, 2021 6:25 pm Being a controller PLUS a MIDI keyboard, is it possible you have to also enable the MIDIIN2, 3, and 4? Without reading the manual, it could be the OXYGEN 25 input is control only, particularly if it's been set up as a control surface; and the MIDIIN2, 3, 4 are keyboard splits, with IN2 being the primary one (which in the images isn't enabled ? ).
PS - what control surface type are you using? (both within Waveform, and on the keyboard).
From the same image, it also looks like Midi channel 1 is being filtered out (deselected), which may be the default you transmit on if you haven't customized the Oxygen 25.

Try enabling the MIDIIN2, 3, and 4 and see if you then get something.
To verify, you might ALSO disconnect the "controller" feature, as it might be "taking" the input MIDI events as control events and not passing them through.

Already tried that, you can see them all three in the TRACK / MIDI Input and add some plugin to it, but the keyboard has no reaction at all whatever you knock it,no sound ,nothing. I even tried to put midiin2 to Virtual input ,same.Peter Widdicombe wrote: Thu Mar 25, 2021 11:53 am Try enabling the MIDIIN2, 3, and 4 and see if you then get something.

Sorry deleted, realised after thinking about about it my suggestion didn't make much sense.

From the last image, it looks like the IN2, 3, 4 are present/recognized but DISABLED ?
When they are disabled, they will NOT show up in the list of devices that can be selected.

According to the web site the keyboard is supposed to configure itself to the DAW, which involves some "control scripts" or other mechanism that get installed for the DAW itself. As Waveform is not on the list of supported DAWs it won't have those for it and the configuration is most likely not taking place, as a result of which something is not matching up.
You may need to check to see if there is some kind of general MIDI mode or similar that the keyboard can be set to use, to bypass that configuration while you are using it with Waveform or other DAWs that are not on the list of what is supported by the manufacturer.

What control surface types have been selected within Waveform ? My guess is the MCU (Mackie control universal) is the "better" one, as a specific one for the 25+Waveform isn't available.
However, this should ALSO be set on the Oxygen itself. They should match or be similar.

Are you having troubles using the controller (play/stop/record,etc) or the MIDI notes? Or both? Or are you wanting to use the rotating knobs to send MIDI CC data?
Is it seriously the case that Oxygen Pro keyboards have 4 MIDI ins but the documentation tells you nothing about what they are? That's weird. It's like they have things working for very specific DAWS and everyone else can just go hang (or muddle through with no good documentation.)

Yes,It seems the Oxygen 25 have a key to switch the DAW mode or general MIDI mode. On the DAW mode, you can chose different DAW program. And It works with Bitwig wheather on DAW mode or general MIDI modefde101 wrote: Fri Mar 26, 2021 8:33 am According to the web site the keyboard is supposed to configure itself to the DAW, which involves some "control scripts" or other mechanism that get installed for the DAW itself. Since I am a beginner ,I should study the Oxygen 25 further. But I just feel it shouldn't be so complex to set up.Peter Widdicombe wrote: Fri Mar 26, 2021 11:49 am What control surface types have been selected within Waveform ? That really sucks. Have you tried asking M-Audio some very specific questions, like "my DAW sees 4 inputs. Can you tell me what information I should expect to receive from each input?"
Maybe try adding the other 3 inputs (MIDIIN2,MIDIIN3,MIDIIN4) to consecutive tracks and play the keys or turn the knobs. Since you can actually apply them to tracks, see what they do. Add the MIDI Monitor to the right side of the track to view any data being sent.
