Just goes to show how opinions, tastes, and styles can vary from person to person. :tu:

I had one of those for a year or two. I think I remember thinking the fuzz was cool in its own weird/wrong way. I can't remember much else about it other than your control over each effect was limited and I wasn't impressed enough to keep it.
Like most of the hardware I still own I only have it because I'm too lazy to sell it....

Probably couldn't get more than 5 or 10 bucks for a Zoom 505 these days....hardly worth the effort.

Yeesh... half of this gear is what turned me off pedals and effects from the beginning. Good times.
Wait... loot _then_ burn? D'oh!

Right? When we were kids it was worth selling something for $50. Ugh, too much work to sell the useless old tat now.

Although it’s possible some of the effect algorithms exist in the ToneLib GFX ampsim
Well, who would have thought that it was possible to out-fugly the Art boxes.
whoever designed it spent too long at the beach imo.
Or thought that young vurt would find it as attractive as that goth guitar gal/salesdroid?

Post

no young vurt would have been terrified of a beach-babe droid :o

old vurt thinks it's quite sexy though.
but he has been isolated for over 12 months

Yes, although, not cheap, bad, or easy to get.
I have very few rack mount things left from my pre-computer "project studio" days, but still have one of these (used to have two, as I tend to double-up on stuff I like/use a lot) from way way back, though it got a knob 'stem' clipped off when a friend borrowed it a few years ago. I really should fix it. Just need to de-solder the thing and get a replacement.

Guitar Center will buy those things. At least a few years ago i got rid of a Zoom 1010 for like $10-$15 if i recall. I was actually quite surprised they were willing to take it. I used the $/credit in with a few other digital pedals collecting dust to buy another used pedal. The GAS cycle never stops lol.

makes you wonder who is buying all the ones guitar center buys!?!

I had a tc electronics cheapo reverbs and multi fx box that was pretty crap. I did make good use of it by running big loops of feedback through it and a kaoss pad. It was not particularly pleasant sounding and had a very small (2 or 3) parameters to modify the fx.
