Batch Converting Samples2004-11-16T01:51:18+00:00Hey guys, I would like to find a program that allows me to batch conver *.wav or *.aiff into *.rex format...
Does anything like this exist, or must I do it manually (the damnably slow way)??
Cheers!

I suppose .rex is not only the sample data from the .wav/.aiff but also some info regarding where the beats exactly are. Unless somebody knows of a utility, I think you're stuck with the manual way. That will make you think about which loops to use in your projects
Excellent point about the thought process... I had forgotten that many times I will have a sample cd and think, "hmmm, on this whole disc, I probably only like 10-20 hits or loops"...
Have you ever been able to make a REX loop just by setting the sensitivity? I find that adding or removing at least a couple of slices manually is necessary to get a good REX. So I don't think there ever will be a batch conversion utility. Not to mention that the proper sensitivity changes on a per song basis...
