Is there anything like that? I've been looking for a while now, but all I could find was .wav files for single note C4. I'm looking for a free soundfont for the Lambada sound (Kaoma's Lambada) to play on a free sample player (VST). General MIDI sounds (from Cubase Halion, etc.) are no good for this and they sound much different.

Thanks for trying to help, but this is not really the sound.
Etienne, yours sounds very much like a synthie sound. Did you create this?
Then it would already be quite good!
I created something similar in Vital.

There is no such thing as what I'm looking for, is there?
Free lambada sounds (synth or sampled) won't come close to the real thing
and anything else will be commercial.
It's different for the piano where you can find real high quality soundfonts for free.

Maybe I'll buy a real accordion, then. :D
Still less expensive than those commercialized sampled sounds (or buying a Korg Kronos just to play some lambada)... 8)

The following zip file contains two accordions. Not sure if these sound like what you're seeking. You didn't post an example.

Just checked your accordion sounds. They come closest to what I've been looking for so far.
Here's the exact lambada sound I'm trying to play via a free sample player soundfonts plugin. It's the most famous thing that everybody knows:

So if there's anything non-commercial that comes even closer, go ahead and post it.
But the sound you gave me there is already much worth playing if I try to play that melody live,
especially with some effect plugins added to boost the sound a bit. Thanks! :tu:

That's a tango (handheld) accordion. Google that.
