Tremor sounds really good but I never bought it due to concerns over on-going maintenance. One oldie I recently picked up is Nerve. What isn't apparent on the Xfer website is that it's still in development. The latest v1 beta supports Apple silicon and has a resizeable GUI and a 'ground-up rebuild' v2 is in development.

What's the actual problem?CrystalWizard wrote: Thu Mar 25, 2021 7:45 pm i just switched machines and can't get Tremor to auth.
In January I couldn't authorize DCAM Synthsquad (legacy for old projects), whereas Strobe2 worked. Support (Roli) needed 3 weeks for their reply. Fortunately, in my case using the legacy License manager did the trick (it's at the very end of the license manager's download page/section).
But there will be the day when this won't work because Strobe2 will require the current license manager (both license manager can't be used in parallel). Bummer.
Cheers,

Still waiting for a 909 emu that nails the sound and is well usable (Roland cloud is not, Drumazone is ok, but dated and not 100% there).

Tremor is no longer maintained but it works quite well as, is so i'm good. I'm obviously using Windoze otherwise at least half of the software i use wouldn't work.
Himalaya mentioned in an old topic and i agree that the only thing about Tremor is that to get something useful you need to patch up 8 drum synths, then mix it and make patterns. Even though it's mostly the same using Microtonic i definitely get results much faster on Microtonic than Tremor but i do like Tremor much more for the really detailed stuff.

You need to place the resources folder into the same location as the .dll.
The one named Microtonic V3.3 Resources is the skin that will load. You can switch skins by renaming the folders.

I remember when Tremor was a current product, more often than not when I saw a thread about it there would be at least one comment saying 'yeah but microtonic' and also endless complaining, like 'why is it not in Geist', 'why isn't Geist in Tremor', 'why cant I drag the sequence out as MIDI' . You know what, I'm willing to bet that when people see this kind of stuff most end up not buying it, and if people don't buy something it generally gets discontinued. FWIW I never heard a single sound I liked from Microtonic, same with Stix
