Last three pieces on KVR have been pretty epic... 7 mins, 9 mins and 6 mins 30!
Here's a much shorter little bit of (hopefully) narrative nonsense for a bit of a change!
Mainly done in various Kontakt libraries, but there are some real instruments in there as well!

only on the phone, so won't talk mix...
serge leone scenes playing for sure.
camera, circling a man in black on a horse from way up high, we know where he's going...
the story, is where he's been.....
love the big orchestral crescendo bits (hope that's the lingo?) or at least good you know which bits i mean

ChameleonMusic,
Thank you for all of the replies! Now your song: high quality sampled stuff I assume....oh, I see you said real instruments also (I would be curious to know what those were). I have a couple of Kontakt things, but I have a lot of trouble making it work right with my iMac, Kontakt (free) Player, and Cubase. Anyway, your entire song sounds excellent, and seems ready for the next epic movie trailer. Well done and very nice audio!

Nice piece, with nice transitions. Although i studied classical music i now dare to say which instrument is real and which is not. I have strong suspicions, but it's amazing how good sample libraries meanwhile sound.ChameleonMusic wrote: ↑Sun Mar 28, 2021 8:45 pm Mainly done in various Kontakt libraries, but there are some real instruments in there as well!
purely in terms of structure, one might wonder whether the choir would have been necessary - it could seem a bit over the top. but certainly also depends on the intended use. but thats very personally...
it is better to have a track with some mistakes than a track without any soul

You make it sound so easy. Only complaint...too short.

Liked the instruments used in the outro, and the change of energy in the middle.
Also liked the choir. Can I ask what choir library you used? Was it storm choir?

It flows beautifully moving seamlessly from delicate sounds to a massive orchestra.
What is that bell-like percussive instrument in the intro?
Perhaps there is a bit too much reverb in general? It sounds like I am listening sitting towards the back of the hall.

REAL INSTRUMENTS - some hand percussion in the intro section ( also appears later on as well). also the flute melody and short clarinet lines...
Played and recorded the percussion myself...
Woodwind...cos of Covid, I emailed the sheet music and then had to rely on the performers' recording skills! (Never again hopefully - always prefer to do it myself!
