Excellent thanks! This is working for me. Nice to have my exs instruments back!

You get WAV versions in every pack, alongside the EXSs, NKIs etc.

There is a way to map XO to Logic X Drummer through the Drum Machine Designer and it works wonderfully. Here’s how to do it.

1. Open a Drummer Track in Logic
2. Click on the down arrow to open up the Track Stack
3. Replace each instance of a pad with XO by switching the instrument on the strip.

Voila! Now you can have up to 64 XO slots each searchable in the interface to sequence with Drummer or with Pattern Sequencer to n Logic.

i'm trying to figure out how to send a command from ableton live to randomize the XO kit. Any ideas?

Damn if XLN would just update the sequencer, this would be the ultimate drums solution. Having easy access to 1000s samples, I can always come up with a kit I’m very happy with. But the sequencer being limited to just two 4 bar patterns?? Come on XLN, we need more and longer patterns!! How hard can it be?

It really is laughable. Especially when drum loops within many EDM genres span across 16 bars or more.

i for one would be happy with a randomizer button that just picks a random kick, hihat, snare, clap, etc out of the cloud library. it'd be pretty magical. yeah, more-than-current-amount-of-bars would be amazing too tho.

I find it totally unintuitive. I should try harder. Atlas works better for me because it allows for custom maps and it is also more straightforward to use. But frankly, without the AI I'd probably use neither and stick with Sitala. Feeling a bit curmudgeonly!
If every KVR member wrote one review a year we'd have 1340 reviews each day!

Bought it for 30 and I am using it only to get a preview of the snare/kick/hat I want to use. It saves me so much time everytime I use it.
Gotta go in detail with the sequencer stuff..

As fun as XO is, I find that I don't use it often when it comes down to real work.

2 patterns is never enough variation for my songs.

8 slots is rarely enough for my kits. And the inability to save kits separately from patterns is a flow killer. As cool as Space is for accessing samples, putting kits together 1 piece at a time is inefficient.
The groove baby, the groove...

I bought a TR-8S and now XO is pretty much relegated to a sample search engine. It’s great for that, don’t get me wrong, but it’s sad it would only take a few small improvements to lift it to the next level. Still no update since 1.2 last June, shame.

Are you safe?

So the gist I'm getting from this thread is that XLN Audio sold everyone here who contributed a graphically-interpreted search engine bolted to a Volca Sample softsynth. This apparently because everyone was so eager to trudge through 2TB of tasty kick drums, and because they were insidiously bewitched by basic statistical model informatics being applied to periodic function analysis, lit up in pretty pastel colors, that they didn't notice the sequencer only had 8 tracks and 2 patterns.

I got it on sale and I kind of enjoy it as an outlet for amused discovery, but then again I don't do any real work.
